"They were on 66 points at 32 played while we were on 53 so - yea they sure did drop the ball.

Nobody would argue that point surely"

They were on 66 points with 6 games to go yet only finished with 74.. Dropping the ball.

Some are having real trouble reading and comprehending

Here’s the view from Man U twitterers, as reported in the echo

“Konate & VVD pairing is going to be a serious problem next season. 36m is very good business. Can only wish that our board is half decent one day.”

Akhilesh Gannavarapu: “Liverpool are about to sign Konate to improve their defence, while MUFC is about to reward mediocrity and dross by giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a three-year extension. Levels to how clubs are run, and their ambitions.”

McSauce: “Liverpool signing Konate for £36m while we still have Jones and Bailly competing to see who can be the most reckless or injured and Lindelof who clearly isn’t ever going to be a top CB. Frustrating.”

Peter Thomas: “So Liverpool trigger the release clause for Konate, anything from United yet? Don't be daft, we will wait until everyone else has done their business first, joke.”

Their net spend over the last 3 summers is up to £300m now, which I am pretty is more than any other club in Europe (though that could change if City splurge of course).

All that investment and their fans think it’s all the Glazer’s fault they’ve not won the League or Champion's League recently. Will there be more protests this season about money ruining the game, or is that dependent on how well Man United are doing?

Their fans are a weird, weird lot.

I find it pretty mad some clubs hate their owners, who actually put a lot of money into the club, even Chelsea fans...

I'm sort of proud, alot of fans seem to think FSG are the best thing since sliced bread.. and they fully back us..

Sega and Manchester United reach a settlement over trademark dispute; Premier League club to be renamed "Manchester UFC" or "Man UFC" from Football Manager 22 onwards, games maker announces on Friday

Taking charge of them, and getting them relegated won’t have the same ring to it anymore
