Alexander Isakly what's needed up front

He's been removed from the Newcastle Utd club shop window. It's fappening...

Heard this has been agreed with Newcastle now. Christ that away game is going to be spicy. Joelinton might try and break even more legs than usual, the runt...

I think one of your mates might be, or frequents another forum - apart from the "the runt" bit at the end, the "heard this has been agreed.." bit is word for word and is from a thread called "Isakly what we need" - small World - reasonable enough wee forum too, though I am not a poster in it and probably check it once a week or so, though did consider jumping ship about a year ago as I found the transfer window threads last season to be some of the most vitriolic we have had in years - thankfully everyone seems to have been much nicer this season, be it due to the good transfer business or Diogo's passing putting things into perspective or something else - it's ice to see the forum be reasonably "nice" again.

I go on LFC Reds, but not mates with anyone on there Sid. The one I chat with mostly on there is actually a Manc, he's getting some pelters this past while though, great craic, lol...

Not sure if we can make a move for isak without serious interest for nunez.
Rumour that juventus interested as 2nd choice which i think would interest nunez more than arab league.

Núñez I think is on 49 League starts for us and a 50th would mean we pay Benfica another £4.3m which may go some small way to explaining all of the recent appearances from the bench for a player Slot seemingly doesn't rate.

In terms of squad places, with Diaz gone and Jota gone but not forgotten, our forward options (assuming Wirtz is a 10) would look like this -

    Gakpo
    Ekitike
    Isak
    Núñez
    Salah
    Chiesa

So numerically for a front three it's okay, but is imbalanced - couple of square pegs for round holes.

So I think we will make the move for Isak anyway and then worry about finding upgrades on Núñez and Chiesa afterwards - and if we can't, I guess we'll stick with them - though that absolutely won't be the plan!!!!

I’m pretty calm about the whole Isak situation, I’ll be more concerned if we don’t sign an experienced CB than if we don’t sign Isak.
