    Match Thread: Liverpool v Arsenal

    Liverpool XI to play Arsenal

    Alisson
Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister
    Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo
    ………Ekitike.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Gomez, Endo, Chiesa, Jones, Elliott, Robertson, Bradley, Ngumoha

Hmmm… we got away with a midfielder at full back once, could be tempting fate?
Anyway maybe Arne feels Bradley isn’t quite ready to start.

Huge game, huge defensive improvement required

Massively - we lose a huge amount of industry and play someone totally out of position. Is Bradley ever fit?

I think the idea is that he 'inverts' into midfield when we have the ball. He has been playing pretty great so far and I didn't want to see him drop down to the bench to make a space for Macca, (who is also great of course).
Maybe after an hour, depending, Connor Brad will come on and Dom can switch to midfield.

Sky ask Arteta if winning today is the final frontier of his team being able to go all the way. Then had to point out they haven't won at Anfield or rhe Etihad in this era.

We could really do with a good quality, more defence orientated midfielder alongside Gravenberch.

Wirtz was in so many intelligent pockets of space in the previous two games - often not found, or was a touch too slow when he received it.

If he is sharper and found, we're laughing - he can make things tick.

Hope it's a good day for him.
