    Champion's League Draw on Monday

Can't wait until then to discuss permutations - it has been NINE bloody years after all!

Chelsea: Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, or Beşiktaş.

Manchester United: Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, or Porto.

Manchester City: Bayern Munich, Juventus, Basel, Real Madrid, Sevilla, or Porto.

Tottenham: Bayern Munich, Juventus, Basel, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk or Porto.

Liverpool: Bayern Munich, Juventus, Basel, Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk or Porto

Cynical head says that we'll get Real Madrid or Juventus while United get Porto! If Real Madrid are still as inconsistent come February, it'd be a tie I'd quite fancy, though you'd really suspect they'll come back to life by then.

Would quite like Chelsea to draw PSG so we can lose one of the nouveau riche early on. Man City v Bayern Munich would be a fun one from the "plot" perspective.

In terms of a possible changing of the guard, are PSG and City the favourites? Or is that still a season or two away yet?

Don't think Porto are the 'easier' game that some people are suggesting.
Wouldn't want the traveling involved with Shaktar.
Maybe Real Madrid or Bayern Munich would be good for us.Think Klopp would fancy Bayern Munich. Real Madrid tonked us that time under Brendan, but some of their players just about remember getting humiliated by Torres and Gerrard at anfield (well maybe only Sergio Ramos, not sure)

"Would quite like Chelsea to draw PSG so we can lose one of the nouveau riche early on" agree

Seen some pieces on the BBC talking about odds.
City are most likely to be the pl winner. 58% chance of them being the premier leagues cl winner. Though overall they have an 8% chance of winning the cl. With Barcelona leading favourites with a 28% chance of winning the cl.
(On the face of it I wouldn't agree with those odds/forecast)

Not an odds person so just giving what I've seen don't check for odds myself.
Anyone have our odds for winning the cl v others for perspective.

There are few 'easy teams' left in the competition. Not all possible winners , but a good few capable.
The expectation is Real and Barca will be peaking from a lower base than usual. Psg look good on paper but have an easy league, which has pros and cons, big pressure on them and their coach to win the cl imo. Bayern a bit like the Spanish two, Juve can go far, and each of the pl teams have a chance. The rest I'd say are the outside hopes with Shaktar and Roma the next best.

I'd call that an open competition

Potential January transfers may alter the outlook.

Bring on Juventus, to show ''Can'' we r far better side. Italy league they don't spend much, always look for free signing and sell them at big fee.

We can beat any of those teams and we can get beaten by any of them.

I'd like Basel as I'd probably go to the city on matchday.

No easy games now. Nobody will want to play us.

As group winners, do we automatically play the 2nd leg at home? Otherwise I'm wondering where the advantage of winning the group is.

It's not always the advantage it's made out to be,especially if you don't score in the first leg.

We haven't had Bayern in the Champion's League era. Think that would be the tie I would pick.
