Incoming needs to be superb whoever he is - Diaz was well on the path back to his best imo. Was expecting him to be our biggest threat for the up coming season

Diaz has been sacrificed to buy Isak in my opinion. Our front line has been massively improved if that happens even with Diaz being sold.
is it nuts i'd rather get a top LW & CB which we could do with the money spent on isak....

      worried about isak keeping fit..

Seems like he's been wanting to leave for a couple of years now and constantly fluttering his eyes in Barca's direction, but I'm surprised he is also OK with going to Bayern rather than staying.

We've got a good price for him, and anyone who wants to leave, can. Bradley Barcola as a replacement please (on top of 2 Centre backs). Isak can wait for now.

I'd rather him, can play down the middle too.

It helps fund turnover, like Isak arriving.

For now our 6 forwards would be

            Salah/Chiesa
            Isak/Ekitike
            Gakpo/Núñez

If Núñez leaves thereafter, all the talk is of Rodrygo arriving.
Either way that's a solid 6 forwards to call upon.

Everyone expects Guehi to arrive in defense. Which would have us well set.

Personally I see Chiesa and Nunez leaving. Wirtz and Nguomha amongst the attack.
The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

but then we're short in midfield soon as Szob/maca/grav gets injured

Agree. I think we needed a midfielder too. Hoping Bacjetic is going to be involved once he's fit, there's been no mention of him leaving.
Wirtz can play the Szobo position too so he'll possibly be moved around to suit.

Looking at diaz's wages at liverpool im not surprised he's not happy,at his age he would be looking for a decent wage before his career ends.
Think liverpool have slipped up,good luck to him.

Rio is an amazing talent just hope he isn’t being thrown in a little too early with the expectation… That’s broken many a potential star. Trust Slot tho - seems to be a real thinking man - a purist too… Won’t tolerate anyone who lacks top level technical ability,

I guess it must hurt a bit when you see new players coming in on big wages when they wont give you what you want and you are a big part of a title winning team!
I'm assuming of course wirtz for instance is on far bigger wages than him!!!

How do you know he hasn’t been offered decent wages?

James Pierce said that he had been offered 2 contracts and turned them both down as the wages weren’t as much as being offered elsewhere.

Its a win win situation for all concerned we get almost double we paid for him and he'll be 29 soon.. we can use that fee for other targets. Saying that i wish he was staying another season.. but we move on
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century

You maybe right, just read he was on a decent wage and his agent was pushing for more than liverpools 2 offers.

Can't see that happening. We had 6 forwards last year with no Acon, and Mo will be off again this year. With the way Slot is talking about our ambitions for this season can't see us going light in areas. Maybe Rio gets Chiesa's spot at a push.
