Slot arrived with a Klopp like reputation, and he delivered. He reflects and the murmurings unsurprisingly this summer were around our CL exit and EFL final.Originally posted by Diego20 View Postnot worth being happy about finances though....
not to mention we've ripped up half a title winning team and starting again, too many changes never normally goes well.... was a time klopp didn't bring players into the fold for months!
you could tell last season sometimes how everything just clicked, and the lads was use to playing with each other, and got use to slots system pretty quick, hopefully same with the new boys.
Looking at the team now, a slowing salah-- diaz gone, who's making them fast runs direct with the ball ? outwide?
Klopp started many players from the day they signed their 1st LFC contract. Like Mane, Salah, Gini, Alisson, VVD to name a few.
Frimpong - a starter, replacing Trent and everyone seems happy enough with that bit of business.
Kerkez - a starter, replacing Robbo, though Tsimi the Greek may actually move on. Signed the left back most wanted by fans, the Hungarian Robbo.
Wirtz, a starter, replacing Elliott. Seems most are happy with his addition. Dubbed the best player to move this summer. A big upgrade in midfield.
Ekitike - a young lad and highly rated. Replaces Jota.
RIP Diogoals.
Isak, suspected to arrive soon. Replacing Diaz
And so is Guehi. Replacing Quansah.
Looking at the team that won Number20 and the above players added
Alisson
Frimpong* Konate VVD Kerkez*
Grav MacA
Salah Sobozla Gakpo
Isak*
The 2 new fullbacks required, start as too Isak in for Diaz at CF and you still have the spine of the side there.
I'd have preferred Alvarez over Isak, but seems a good few/most wanted Isak. The tragic passing of Jota aside, it's a great time to be a red.
Going into the 2025/26 season, its an opportunity to win number 21, and number 7....
Back to back PL titles.....
Number 21......
Would/Will be massive alone..
A glorious 7th CL title in Sobozland....
The final in the Puskás Aréna in Budapest...
That's where the expectation levels are right now.

Luis Díaz: “It's definitely always special to play for a big club, and Bayern is one of the big clubs”.
“I'm very happy. I joined the right team, the right group. I'll continue to work hard with both feet on the ground and focus on what's to come”.
Glad he’s enjoying himself. Bayern have some great players and it will be interesting to see how they do in the CL this year when they come up against some really strong teams.
Their league for me is like France where Bayern are expected to win every year but on the odd occasion someone else pops up

Germany seems a good league for players who have done reasonably well in the prem. Good players become great players, skilful players like Lucho seem to shine with the extra room and younger players seem to benefit with the less intensive pace.

There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

TBF he was ripping up here last season too - despite many not really noticing with all the media noise around Salah and his numbers. Luis was returning to his best form last season for anyone focussing on the detail. Ze Bavarians don't miss these things. Not a prayer we win that title without him. Went under the radar as Gakpo's numbers seemed a match despite the gulf in quality. Diaz is world class.Originally posted by justincredible View PostEx Liverpool forward rips it up in one horse race league. Nice....Last edited by Steveo; 17 September 2025, 09:48 AM.

That's because that one horse you fellas are talking about is a European heavyweight. Pretty much always have been too. Imagine they playeed in the Premier league and were up against tougher opponents every week. My hunch is they dominate.Originally posted by justme View PostYeah it is one a horse race. Other than Bayern Leverkusen for one season.. Bayern Munich would have won 11/12league titles in a row.. And Germany is suppose to be one of top 5 leagues in Europe..
To have won what they have despite not being tested regularly domestically points to the sheer quality they have. Invariably they only buy top quality.Last edited by Steveo; 17 September 2025, 09:47 AM.

again you get it wrong.. we are discussing the German league has being a one horse race..Nothing about Bayern not being good in EuropeOriginally posted by Steveo View PostThat's because that one horse you fellas are talking about is a European heavyweight. So you can't read and comprehend.. Frankly I should know this already but I keep trying to give you the benefit of any doubt.Originally posted by justme View Postagain you get it wrong.. we are discussing the German league has being a one horse race..Nothing about Bayern not being good in Europe
I acknowledge it's a one horse race in my opening gambit.. IF you can manage to understand a simple thing.. I am simply suggesting WHY your semi literate statement "Germany is suppose to be one of top 5 leagues in Europe." is a reality. DESPITE the one horse race.. they have STILL managed to be one of the dominant forces in Europe's elite competition.
I then went on to push the idea that 'were they tested more often'...they would be a far stronger force still..
But let's start with baby steps
