I do wonder if we wont replace Diaz and give Rio a bit of a go. I've Sterlingesque thinking cap on in terms of getting him into the line up.

I remember the excitment every time Sterling got a run out, and the clamour for him to start after every decent sub performance.

I definitely think he'll be a supplement to Gakpo and maybe Wirtz. He'll get a steady amount of games/appearances I think.

Young Rio really did have a bit of early Sterling about him with his movement and his eagerness to get stuck in.

Looking forward to watching more from him this season and I hope he doesn't get buried back with the reserves.

Agree 100%. He is 16. His body still growing and going through all kinds of changes. Could easily get chronic injuries if he is mis-managed.
Very exciting player. I would rate him way above Doak and above Sterling in potential.

He’s not built like Rooney, I would be concerned about him physically if he plays too much at this age in the Premier League
