  • Tottenham Hotspur are looking to include Richarlison in a potential deal to sign Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze.

That would, in turn, free up striker space to try and sign Yoane Wissa, who played under Thomas Frank at Brentford.

Wissa still wants to join Newcastle, who had a second bid of £35m plus £5m in add-ons rejected on Wednesday.

Frank is keen on signing Wissa, but can only do so if he loses a striker. Richarlison favours staying at Tottenham.

    Hahahaha imagine!!!

Can't we just look elsewhere- gotta be a attacker out there better value

    • Eze gone to the Arse.
      Lifetime Arsenal fan supposedly.
Spurs struggling to get anybody in.
Stalemate for Wissa and Isak, the Toon won't get two strikers in by deadline day.
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

      • Pretty bad news imo. That Arsenal squad was already brimming with quality now - it’s ominous. Arteta can’t be so bad he cannot muster a decent tune outta that setup for a second season…. can he..?

          Fiilthy depth all over

meanwhile for us Quality might have got a bit better (Still can't really say wirtz aside), but our depth has got worse.

you don't win anything with 11 players, yes I wanted some of the players that have gone, to go as I don't think they're LFC standard BUT rather have them as a option than fuck all, didn't expect us to trim the squad this much when we burned out a bit last season with more players....

That's why it's important somehow Chiesa and gomez actually stay fit.... pray to the gods

He's just far too negative. He may well win a title or two over the next few years but guaranteed the Arse would already have a couple in the bag had Klopp been in charge (of Arsenal just to clarify...).

Let’s hope he doesn’t let the dogs out. Agree fully - at least 2 titles probably more with Klopp in situ

They'd have definitely won a couple if he'd just let them of the leash.

I think they're built very similarly to us. They have a good spine of players - A good keeper, Both CBs, Rice and Odegaard and Saka.

But I wouldn't swap their squad with ours.

                • Doubt any of us would swap squads but we are all totally biased on that. Players become like family when they are at the club - some remain so even after.. Origi, Bobby and Mané to name a few recent examples…

As a squad, arsenals must be the strongest in the league now? They have options all over the pitch. The quality can be debated but it has improved from last year.

Arteta will surely be under pressure if he doesn't get a major trophy this year?

Wonder how strong they are mentally.

Or if are they neurologically wired to come a heroic second. It's a habit.

I don't think they have many excuses this year. They have kept their core squad and added quality. It really should be this year.

But if we get isak, does that change it for us?

                        • Newcastle are preparing for Liverpool to return with a new bid of between £120-130m for their Sweden forward Alexander Isak, 25. (Teamtalk)

Newcastle need to accept its over with them and Isak and accept the offer from LFC

                          • We could get him for 60m next season.

Wouldn't bid an extra pound. Newcastle dug themselves into this hole.

Will be interesting to see. Hope we can stay in touch for the first 10 games or so. Hopefully new players will have bedded in. Everyone wrote us off last season so hopefully we can surpise people again. Might be a while before we start clicking though. I think we probably need Isak though despite all the kerfuffle. We'd be a bit flat if we don't get him now I think. What a boost it would be adding a top class striker to what we've already got. Will strike a note of fear into others.

                              • As we stand now, it’s Arsenal v City while we battle to hold on to fourth. Desperately need a CB and at least one striker, maybe 2.

And we still need a 6, we’ve seen how open we are without Gravenberch. No way should he start any more games with Wirtz as the third midfielder when Gravenberch is missing
