Again, he's 5th choice. Macca is on the bench and Grav is missing. We're not going to have world class players from 1-25. It's just not going to happen.

I don't think most of us expect a squad full of very expensive, top quality players, but I'd like to think that most of us including Slott saw last season what happened to Gravenberch at the backend of the season, and what could happen if he gets injured. We'd also better hope that our two first choice CB's don't get injured or one of them decides that he wants to move elsewhere.

If we have to rely on Jones playing more than a few minutes here or there, or someone such as Endo, never mind Gravenberch playing in defence (something Slott himself has suggested) we could be in trouble. Hopefully it won't come to that, but I would like us to get in some decent cover for Gravenberch, big Virg, and Konate.
