We can't say that we deserved to win the game. We've been crap. I knew Mac Allister was also going to miss.

Normally under Slot it's a "decent" first half and then we see tweaks that improve us in the second half.

Very much not the case today.

Didn't deserve to win ultimately.

Won't read too much into it given the heat and players needing time to gel, but I think it's fair to say that it was very much flashes in the first half amidst some somewhat more insipid stuff.

Main thing you'd want to see addressed after the small sample size of pre-season and that match is a vulnerability on the counter that we had seemingly (for the most part) gotten rid of last season.

Still. You'd back Slot to fix it promptly.

Need to do a lot better before the season kicks into gear. Too many holes to be exploited means another heart in the mouth season that may well end up mirroring this match. Some good parts, but no end reward.

I really rate Sarr at Palace best forward they have.. Palace will cause a lot of problems for teams this season If they can keep all their players fit.. They are very difficult to handle in forwards two quick forwards and Eze who drops in behind..
They are a decent team.. Thinking on looking at Sarr's profile on Wiki. im sure we were linked to him at one point.. Not that i want him to come here.. Just think hes a decent forward
