Fingers crossed we don't have to delve into this thread too much this season...
Gomez and Bradley are the only two in that link above so far thankfully...

Oh didn't know bradley was injured already....

I hope injury's don't ruin his career, not going well so far, could be looking very short at the back very quickly.

Slot mentioned Endo could play there.
          That would be interesting.
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

We do have players who can play there, but they are stop gaps. Imagine this happens with our forward players though

Well of course. How many right backs do you want in the squad to cover the possibility of losing 2 or 3 in the same position.

Slot even said in his presser, you can't legislate for injurie sin the same position.

You are correct with the forward line. We are bit short at the moment.

He tried it against Bournemouth and it nearly lost us the game. He should not be at right full.

It's far from ideal, but given we have Frimpong, Bradley and Gomez on the books, I think having a Japanese international as our fourth-choice for the role is a better position than most folks would be in.

Squad depth is really important, but there's a finite amount we can do in terms of cover. It's a shame Bradley is so injury-prone, really is.

I wonder how Szoboszlai would fare there (absolute emergencies only) given his work-rate, the nature of the role in the "modern era" and the fact he has played on the right side of the attack in the past?

Hopefully one of our actual right-backs is available soon.

Whenever a new signing gets injured I always think it's a sign he's not going to make it, ever since Bernard Diomede...

I actually think Szobo would be really good at full back. I also had the same thought about Dirk Kuyt.

Frimpong out injured. Having a laugh he hardly ever missed games at Leverkusen. Out injured after half a league game. As we seem to be still trimming the squad down. I hope we’re not in for an injury hit season.

Alberto Aquilani comes to mind. There were alarms going off even before we signed him. Hopefully a similar situation won't occur with Isak should we actually end up signing him.

Was worse with Alberto as we actually signed him WHILST injured.

Looked really promising against Arsenal - think he had an overhead kick blocked as well and you always wonder about those little moments and momentum etc.

I also have a thing for "nearly" goals in general (Suarez's thunderous strike against the post v Arsenal in 13/14 would have been a ridiculous goal) and I always remember Alberto being involved in a gorgeous sequence of play against Atletico Madrid which Kuyt sadly put over the bar from short distance as he was reaching for it.

If I can find that clip I'll put it up.
