Gakpo is a lovely lad.. He's big and Dutch - but not the strongest on the ball - he's slow to pass...The entire stadium can see what he is about to do.. has the power to smash them in and to get there - at times...but it is predictable.

I really like him, but he never filled me with confidence. It's a risk to play Rio too much but he is so much more dynamic. An unpredictable gem and a real threat. BUT huge risk.. That young - things can go to their head with ease. Massive job for Slot - who IMO is starting to feel the pressure

Yesterday's gane I think shows we will miss Diaz more than we think. Gakpo was very predictable on the left. Diaz had a more unpredictability to him.

When Rio came on the left created more chances on those 10mins.

Was thinking that if anything was more likely to win us a penalty too with his direct running in the box and skills

we do need another option on the wings next season... as well as a CB

We've always struggled against teams that put every man behind the ball. And it's the first time in a while where we've seen a team properly park the bus against us. I can't actually remember the last team to do it tbh.

Yes but his crossing could cause mayhem.......

other teams can do it, no excuse really... need to do better..

Granted bunrley was away from home but even utd and spurs put 3 past them

Agree with that. I like gakpo too and there will be games where he will be the game changer, but letting Diaz go without a proper replacement could come back to haunt us.

Seeing Ekitike out wide at times I wonder will he shift out there every now and then when isak goes through the middle.

4 out of 4 is a great start. Just need some improved performances and hope our defence don't get injured.

A lot of changes in the team so it will take time to bed in.

That's because Burnley thought they could win those games, hence setting up differently.

Wirtz did a bit in the box and norrowly curled the ball past the post and had another effort/shot/cross that should have been been put away by somebody.

He, like the rest of the team had no real space to work in. He/we did improve a little in the second half.

Robbo put in some excellent balls from the left. One of which should have been converted by Chiesa.

I'm amazed we havn't seen more of it to be honest.

Even the worst sides from last season didn't put 10 men behind the ball.

I've still got no worries about Wirtz. It's only a matter of time before someone with that level of technical ability will flourish. His first touch and weight of pass is absolutely phenomenal.

I think he just needs to get used to the team, and them to him. As it doesn't appear that he's got that Stevie G 'give to me' kind of confidence. Yet.

To date - this is a better player.
