To be fair we were brilliant in the opening half hour but second half the midweek game caught up with us. They had a week off to prepare for that, we only played Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

Excellent start from us, 6 competitive games, 6 wins. Ekitike with his 4th and Gravenberch with a superb motm performance

I thought we took our foot off the gas to conserve energy. But we never pressed the pedal at all in the 2nd half.

If we are primed to peak later on in the season then that’s great BUT we need to make sure we are in position to benefit, We have won those games and it’s great but it’s been mail biting every time and last gasp winners mostly. IMO that primes you for fatigue

I hope you are right, To my eye they were tired and unable to match the intensity of the Blue Shyte, but my paranoia might be partly responsible

To be fair Steveo we had a very intense midweek game, they had a full week to prepare, they were bound to have more energy as the game wore on

He's just not as good as people think he is not a title winning RB yet that's for sure.

Is it me or he looked a different player when he broke into the side a few years back , where’s his swashbuckling attacking gone ?
Also wirtz looks a bit lightweight got the touch of the yossi benayouns about him , he will come good , but if I think of coutinho it’s miles away at the moment . I think hea trying to do too much and he hasn’t got the time , he’s getting caught loads

Gakpo was pure and was belatedly replaced - but his replacement provided even less.

Where is Wirtz going to play exactly…? Is it a cunning plan by Slot? Is he playing poker and deliberately making it look like we cannot accommodate him to them silent spring a master stroke..?

Anyway, Kerkez was excellent today, appeared to have listened and learned from his last outing.
Ekitike was very good too, Gravenberch seems to be even better this season.
