They look like they are deep in preseason conditioning. Boots of treacle, sloppy passes galore.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostAs much as we all lamented Nunez for missing big chances he used to come off the bench and really put himself about causing carnage all over the place. A trait not to be sniffed at when you look at what we tried in last 15 minutes tonight. Diaz just a massive loss. Even tsimi with his left peg. We never even put crosses in in the latter stages tonight.
Last year we topped the league phase, widely disregarded too, and eventually of little benefit.
12 points qualified for KO football. 11 points was enough for 3 of the 4 teams who finished on 11 points.
We have 3/6 in the CL and 15/18 in the PL.
We're aiming for number 21, and plausibly number 7. It's early days.

Jesus wept.
What an absolute shit show. It wasn’t that we lost, it wasn’t even that we lost to a crap team from a ridiculous penalty, we were terrible.
Konate, Jones, Wirtz and Gravenberch twice gave them the ball around the edge of our box.
And we created not one chance in the second half against a team who conceded 5 last time out against Frankfurt ffs.
Utter disgrace Arne, not better than Palace at all."I am the Normal One."

But this being happening since the day he came to us.. hes been slowing our play.. Obviously i will give him time. But he needs to do better.. be quicker when hes being challenged and not lose the ball. he's worse than Jones when it comes to losing the ball under pressure and thats saying somethingOriginally posted by jozza800 View PostYou could apply that to every player other than big Virg tonight.Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century

We aim for everything. Right now we are no where near those. But a long tíme tó go. As usual, it's disheartening after the 2 defeats. Let's hope Saturday brings a new vigour and a much better performance from the team.Originally posted by CCTV View PostThey look like they are deep in preseason conditioning. We'll be lucky to get 2nd and qualify in the champions league next phase playing like thisOriginally posted by CCTV View PostThey look like they are deep in preseason conditioning. Boots of treacle, sloppy passes galore.

Too many changes in one hit and not in the right areas. All that money spent, Gravenberch still has no help. Diaz hasnt been replaced. Didn't bring in a experience centre back knowing Konate and Gomez cant be relied on.Originally posted by jozza800 View PostYet we bitched and moaned when we didn't spend and brought in relative unknowns.

Yeah I get that and we are probably over reacting. The results have been fine so far but we we can all admit the performance levels aren’t quite there yet. That’ll need to improve to reach our goals. Just worried that it will continue like this. But hey ho. Well sort it out eventually.Originally posted by CCTV View PostThey look like they are deep in preseason conditioning. If Mo wants a balloon door, he needs to win the CL & probably the PL too. Thats peaking 2nd half of the season. And that's after ACON.Originally posted by jozza800 View PostI'm more concerned about Macca, Mo and Konate at the moment.
And we all want number 21, and the players probably want number 7.

First clean sheet in 24 games in champs league for them?? crazy.... last game in champions league a average team put 5 past them, We've spent over 250m on players that are meant to create and score goals, for christ sake, neglected that top CDM needed to rotate instead of Henderson from temu, and a CB we needed... but that's cool we'll score for fun right?
Will we fuck, we looked fucking clueless
Very worrying...... even for the most optimistic LADS out there
Shite, like watching utd as I said.Last edited by Kev0909; 30 September 2025, 10:35 PM.

We aren’t over reacting based on the form - but based on the results we have got and the fact that we SHOULD improve from here. Disjointed is to be expected with that many new faces. That’s Kerkez - Frimpong - Wirtz - Ekitike and then Isak too. 4 players and then a 5th… It’s a lot..
Am I worried - yes… But then usually am, do I think we will improve… Yes - we have to and we will.

And 2 of those players, kerkez and frimpong are tasked with coming in and replacing two of the best fullbacks ever to play for the club in obviously much different ways. It’ll take time merhinks.Originally posted by Steveo View PostWe aren’t over reacting based on the form - but based on the results we have got and the fact that we SHOULD improve from here. Which penalties?Originally posted by jr81 View PostListening to slot he is complianing more about the penalties than our performance.
He also says we are not too far away from the form of last year.
The one against us, even if you believe it was too harsh or a soft call, those happen even in the Premier League.
You learn to deal with them and you cancel them out.
The one he might have thought we should have been awarded wasn't a pen by any stretch of the imagination.
Konate was slow to the ball and got the defender's leg instead and then fell down from a loss of balance.
It should have been a foul on him.
If you're complaining about penalty calls in a game where you barely caused any threat in open play, then you have bigger problems than you're willing to admit.
For once I'd love to have a manager just come out and admit, we were crap and deserved nothing from that game, and that we need to work on a lot of things on the training ground'I got told there's an English phrase, 'You don't win trophies with kids'. I didn't know that' ... - Jurgen Klopp
