      yep obvious we're missing diaz

frankfurt put 5 past this lot, ok they was at home but still

we've looked like scoring once? and should have, maybe twice, just don't seem to have much idea in attack and we're so open like a brothel....

hopefully Isak & Salah turn it around

This season seems to be shaping up to turn out to be what last season should have been.

A new manager bedding in a new team with (mostly) his new players and getting his system in place.

But he came and found a team more ready to challenge for the title thanks to Klopp, and therefore we didn't get as many new players and didn't go through these teething problems we're currently going through with so many new faces.

Add to all that the fact that we peaked to early and overachieved by winning the title when no one expected us to, it all means there's no more undue pressure and expectation on a team that should be expected to have more problems than just smoothly go into a title defending season.

A lot of the new players simply aren't gelling and working out (....so far....or rather....yet)
And a lot of the players who were already here have come into the season vastly off-form for all number of reasons.
        (Macca, Konate, Gakpo, Mo....)

The only real bright spot of the season has been how quickly Hugo has adapted and stepped in.
He's looked our only real threat out there, but he needs help.
        Badly.

I doubt he would lie to the press like that as Chiesa would surely come out and say
Liverpool have left Federico Chiesa out of their squad for Tuesday's Champions League showdown with Galatasaray in Turkey. Despite participating in open training at the AXA Training Centre on Monday, the Italian international was not included in the 21-man squad confirmed by Liverpool for their second Champions League match.

Chiesa was initially left out of Liverpool's squad for the first stage of the competition due to an excess of non-homegrown players, but was added last week when special dispensation was granted to the Premier League champions following a season-ending injury to Giovanni Leoni.

The forward made an impact off the bench, scoring a late equaliser in the 2-1 Premier League loss at Crystal Palace on Saturday, and provided two assists in the 2-1 League Cup victory over Southampton four days prior.

Slot had recently admitted that the club were seeking to add Chiesa to their Champions League squad for the league phase. "Yeah, we've looked into this," he said during Friday's press conference.

“I cannot tell you exactly where that process is at the moment. That is not something I do myself, there are other people doing this.

“But if I’m informed correctly, if a player has a longer than two-month injury, you are able to replace him. That’s what they’ve told me and now we have to see if it’s true or not, but other people are looking into that.”

Liverpool have called up Hugo Ekitike after the striker served a one-match domestic ban at the weekend, with 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha also getting a nod and Freddie Woodman rounding out the trio of required goalkeepers.

Teenage midfielder Trey Nyoni is absent, likely to feature for the under-19s in the UEFA Youth League match against Galatasaray on Tuesday afternoon. At the same time, Jayden Danns is sidelined with a hamstring issue, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Think that might explain his absence, and the inclusion of 3 goalkeepers for a few others also.

I'll owe you £1 if we lose, and you owe me £2 if we win.
And if it's a draw Justin owes us £1 each.

                        Yes, or yes ?

When did sane sign for them? Good option off the bench with 20 to go once we are even more tired.
