  • Slot in Slot out and shake it all about..

It seems the people that signed up on the site in 2004 and 2005 want Arne Slot gone.

Rest of us right thinking folks, realize that is stupid.. or am i wrong??

    Is he In? ,our out??

Are people calling for him to go? I think I saw one poster say he surely hasn't long left, but I don't think many are saying he needs to go.

He does need take a lot of blame for our performances though.

Be nice to see him look like he has a clue ?!

This is a shambles, what a downfall

this doesn't look like a manager who has a idea to me, even when isaks fit... might aswell not be playing most of the time, same with Wirtz.... tactics have to come into it somewhere....

not saying slot out yet, but he needs to fast improve.

Teams play different when playing Liverpool is his excuse. Doesn’t that mean we have a serious weakness that most teams easily exploit?

Sorry not good enough. It was plain to see in the first few games and we’ve got WORSE.

Teams gone from going through brick walls for the manager to looking like they wouldn't eat a cake they don't like for christ sake

is he losing the dressing room already ?

Are you telling me salah is just "Off form" same goes for a few players, at least salah scored a great goal tonight, apart from that though was the same old

Do you maybe mean 2024 and 2025?
There probably aren't many left from 2004/2005.
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

Is he officially changing formation or only if wirtz is on the pitch? Has he said the above. Its hard to judge him either way as so many players are not at last years levels. If so we might know whether 4231 is going to work or is there further players to come in to support the new formation.

Slot seems very stubborn and unwilling to change his fave personnel and tactics.

For me, him in or out comes down to how much he was involved in signings.

If he had say into it, he should not be moaning about the squad at all.
No one told him to spend 350m or whatever on isak wirtz and ekiteke.
He says other areas need strengthening, but that was clear before the above was done.
Of he had no choice in the matter then fair enough.

He would have had an opinion. but mostly the committee above him would have had the final say. It's hardly Slot's fault we sold just as many as we bought in.. Our squad was weak to begin with..we may have better quality,Which most of all i agree with. I know Kerkez ain't had the best of starts but i do have hope for him.. Ekitike looks an upgrade on Nunez.. I have my doubts on Wirtz.. Frimpong hasn't been fit at all. so we know nothing of him..The Konate issue is not slots fault.. I hope we can get him to re-sign.. We are still 3 players short in my eyes maybe 4.. we need cover in the centre of midfield. a centre back or 2..and a wide player.

Well we could have kept Diaz and not bought Wirtz

Diaz was our only actual credible winger letting him go to bring in a 10 to release our non existent wingers was plain dumb too

Nunez was a pain in every oppositions arse who created panic we could have melt him and just signed Ekitike

I think the recruitment has been a shambles and any proposed change of system & style of play absolutely ridiculous

Slot seems to have a massive ego and if he’s wasted 350m of players to play a system that was a pipe dream it was obvious wouldn’t work in the Prem he’s a proper clown

At least he ate humble pie and played our best players in a system and formation that much better suits their individual and combined abilities last time out

If he tries to or intends to ditch the 433 he should go, we won’t improve trying to play how he imagined would work, 6 losses in 7 games demonstrated perfectly well it won’t

I think the players were pissed off with the change and treatment of senior players like Robbo & Mo & maybe the treatment of Ekitike too who never should have been dropped for Isak he should have had to wait

I think the players were also pissed off Slot seems to think he can out think and out football teams in the Prem without having to run through brick walls

Well I visit the place almost every day for a quick read and have done for around 17 years or so. I'm just not generally a poster. I think I just got very annoyed after Brentford and especially Palace because it was a surrender before the fact.

I'm still not convinced that Saturday's result is a corner turned though. Villa wasn't really much of a test, because for some reason they didn't use the tactics that every other team has cottoned on to. I can't imagine that Madrid and City will be that naive. I'm very nervous for what Trent could do on Tuesday, and anyone passing to Haaland could do next Sunday. Still. Fingers crossed...

Yeah. We might never know how much say he had. You'd imagine that they have a list of players that they need and problem areas of the team. I'm sure Slot knew that a lot of players would have to be sold in order to cover the costs of bringing in big names. There might be some reason that they seemed to throw all the eggs in the Isak basket and also Wirtz. Seems strange to us but surely there must have been a strategy behind it.

The big miss was not getting Guehi. Had they got him you'd say it was a very good window on paper.
