  • A few days back Rooney criticised VVD and Salah and he said that Virgil and Mo were lazy and had given up after signing their new deals.

If anyone wants to know what was said by VVD and Rooney in Virgil's post match chat with Rooney, Fowler, Sturridge and Gabby Logan, here's a link.

Salah has started performing, MacA too.
            Robbo reinstated and Kerkez benched.
Still playing a 4231 imo. Average positions tend to support that but the midfield 3 is stronger with Sobozla in it. Again MacA turning up, and having Grav back also helps.

Massive game v cituae on Sunday, ahead of the last international break of the year. Loads of games to play after that international break.

Would be absolutely wonderful to see that, really would, as reeling in Arsenal over time would make for a wonderful second half to the season.

Need a couple of weekends (minimum) of them being off it mind. It's pretty likely that we draw at the weekend, with them beating Sunderland - which would leave us 9 points adrift (3-game swing) while they have a really superior goal difference, effectively acting as a 10th point (4-game swing) so the challenge for us is, at some point, to be 6 points (or less) behind to gain ground.

Thankfully a huge win in Europe last night. Being in the knockout rounds with a couple more months of gelling/chemistry/cohesion/conditioning and being more settled into a system with more experience for new signings could make February - May really captivating.

Could be - extremely reliant on Gravenberch and Robbo right now.. Still think it will take plenty more time to get up to full speed.

Ekitike or Isak up top - Wirtz - Gakpo - Ekitike or Isak all vying for left forward.

Be magic if Bajcetic could arrive as an option at 6 for us. Dash has been decent but can’t wait for Alisson

                • Yep, we need equivalent quality in midfield to share the workload. Cant play the current 1st choice 3 plus Jones as sub for extended periods or it will cause burnout. Get frimpong fit at RB and the option of Bajcetic and Bradley in midfield

                  • Great result. Good to see players all stepping up to the mark. Szobo or Bradley should have been MOTM. Good to see Wirtz getting going. Salah pretty good....very wasteful with passes sometimes but a lot better past two games.

Hopefully Slot has seen that integrating more slowly is the way to go. Ekitike and now Wirtz setting in. It'll take time for Isak & Kerkez.

Let's hope we can get a result on Sunday. I'd be happy with a draw but a win would really give us such a boost.

                    • I'm sure Jota would be happy with trents treatment yesterday and Klopp & rest of the squad

everyone that boo'd him are scum fans that should be supporting another team, because this club ain't scummy.

Not going to go into the conversation again but he basically won us a champions league in a way and was in the team for the highs of late which we had to wait so long for

                      Fuck right off you cunts.

We've lost a player who died and yet still booing someone that's been with the club all his life until now...... give ya heads a wobble puts things into perspective surely.......??

Absoulute clowns, making the club look a joke.

Aye I was wondering about Bajcetic a month or two ago. He had surgery I think before the season kicked off.
We defo miss Alisson but Dash has been pretty good, his kicking isn't great though but hopefully something he can improve on. The games will have done his confidence the world of good.

I can see both sides of it.

On the one hand, he did a lot for us, so he deserves appreciation and applause, which may come later in his career.

On the flip side, he essentially was the local supporter role on the pitch and had said things in the past about wanting to stay here, wanting to Captain the club and was here at a time when we genuinely competed for the most elite honours, which we (mostly) didn't during the career of someone like Gerrard. He not only leaves to what was our biggest rival for European silverware (3 Finals against them!) but does so when we have an excellent squad and shown we can continue to compete. That won't sit well with some and the supporters have the right to decide how they feel on it. Let's be honest here - the knives were absolutely out for Trent proverbially speaking and if Klopp hadn't said his piece there probably would have been some boos when he lifted the League trophy in front of the crowd.

It was Klopp's impact via how articulate he is that massively put a lid on that bubbling discontent and that lid wasn't going to sit forever.

I do hope a day comes where he is at charity matches and it's a more comfortable atmosphere but I totally understand some feeling betrayed.
