I know i keep going on about Wirtz but his slack ball and mental approach. like a kid in a playground. Its affected us all season.. we play at his pace.. we need to be quicker around the pitch..Hes not good enough for us.. He will NOT come good. hes scored ZERO goals so far. for a forward attacker. How many is he gonna get for our club??

Everytime we get back control of the ball with an opportunity to attack, it's like we're looking for the fastest and laziest way to get it back to the feet of either Virgil or Konate to faff around with before they make a terrible long ball pass that gets colllected back by City.
Also, every time we get into their half and close to their box, you see City players getting right up in our faces and pressing us until they win the ball back.
On the other side of the coin, you might as well have Liverpool players laying out the red carpet to any City player to get as close to the box as possible before getting an unchallenged chance to shoot and score.
We knew there was going to be some kind of drop down after the high of the Real game in the week.
Just like happened after the Arsenal game.
We just seem incapable of producing consecutive great performances this season and you could see this drop coming a mile away.
They're just showing the disallowed goal right now, and what a horrendous robbery by VAR.
In no universe is Robbo either impeding Donarumma's line of sight or interferring with play - despite being in an offside position - which doesn't count unless he gets involved in the play.
Which he clearly doesn't.'I got told there's an English phrase, 'You don't win trophies with kids'. I didn't know that' ... - Jurgen Klopp

Macca doesn't offer enough in terms of the defensive side of his game. He is slow, ponderous, and often unaware of what's going on around him. We have needed a top quality DM for years, yet we still haven't bought one.Originally posted by jozza800 View PostGrav and Mac have been pathetic.

Almost like Brentford. Just outworked by a side that want it more.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostMan that was poor. Refs aside we are so so poor
Was letting City have the ball a deliberate ploy are are we really that fucking lazy. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

Second half imminent
Come thr fucking FUCK on Liverpool be A LOT better this half
Better in the press & counter press and quicker in it, pick a player up and stay with him until a chance for you to become involved in the attack comes
Far greater intensity tempo passing movement & finishing
Get yourselves a goal back and take it from there
Get the win"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

We had a bunch of geniuses in here telling us how we dodged a bullet with Caicedo.Originally posted by RedMagic View PostMacca doesn't offer enough in terms of the defensive side of his game. Macca has been in and out of the side and Grav has had a couple of weeks off with an injury. They've had more rest than most.Originally posted by Steveo View Post2 players totally rinsed last season.
Macca looked too tired to enjoy the title celebration FFS
A lot is made about not being able to play Wirtz as a 10, well it's got no chance if the 2 lads behind him can't do the basics.
The amount of times Grav is cought up field is criminal.
I'm sick of saying it.Something, Something, Something, Dark Side

Problem with playing no one wide on the left.. we cant spread the play over there and stretch the game...Bradley is being isolated on the right so nothing down that side either..Originally posted by teesred View PostAlmost like Brentford. Just outworked by a side that want it more.

Doku was always the one to worry about as I mentioned. But City have quality technicians across the park. To beat them you need a massive intensity and mentality… You need to be on it in every position…. Hardly a description of the game today.Originally posted by justme View PostBradley doesnt seem to be able to get behind Doku. He has been run around..

Instead of addressing the actual long-standing problem areas of DM and CB, the club were too obssessed with getting 'Galactico' signings and left the critical positions unsolved.Originally posted by RedMagic View PostMacca doesn't offer enough in terms of the defensive side of his game. You could even see by the priority of how they went about things and the fact that we didn't try to get a CB in until the last day of the window (which laughably collapsed) and the fact they never even tried to get a DM at all.'I got told there's an English phrase, 'You don't win trophies with kids'. Bradley is the only one to come out of the half with any credit, which is ridiculous considering how often he can was getting roasted.Originally posted by justme View PostBradley doesnt seem to be able to get behind Doku. He has been run around..Something, Something, Something, Dark Side

Lay off the lads, we’re only 2 games back in the 433 still well off it in the press and counter press as a result of Slot’s tinkering
Harder taking those stitch ups from
The officials when you’re still searching for your best form
