  • I think he suggesting there is more than one voice… which stacks up,

I think he is asking for more direct team and man management aka a manager. Suggesting that just coaching the group isn’t the same as before and is a huge change,

as for whether he means a manager to work with Slot …? Strange one that.. but who knows ? he said he was keeping it to himself, for those who can comprehend…

But my hunch is he is asking that maybe the setup could return to something similar as it was with Klopp. Let the manager - which in this case should be Slot - make all the decisions… rather than what seems a disjointed setup across multiple staff.

So everything the Head Coach does, PLUS squad planning, scouting, and contract negotiations.

    • All guesswork off course. Not easy to get players to come clean, Not easy when you are being paid - is it 😉

But it’s a few players now who have gone vocal.

      Something isn’t working for them,

I think you might be reading too much into the ramblings of a player.

Well, they'd be taking Steveo with him in a 2 for 1

                  • The system Liverpool has now:

                    • Michael Edwards (CEO of Football): The overarching boss of the football operation.*

                    • Richard Hughes (Sporting Director): Identifies targets, negotiates contracts, and runs the transfer strategy.*

                    • Arne Slot (Head Coach): Focuses purely on tactics, training, and team selection.

This is one of the biggest things that has changed. And what I suspect Macca and Salah have both alluded to. As players they probably don’t even know how to articulate the finer details of what has changed (from one stop shop Klopp to a team of 3) and likely have differing takes on what is missing, but what took the club from nowhere to the very top clearly had little to do with F$G and much to do with Jurgen Klopp.

                    • The current system is FSG's ‘perfect world’ a scenario that they tried to implement in 2012.

Klopp's tenure = a magical anomaly where a manager was so successful that he earned the right to break the structure and run the club himself.

Slot's tenure = a return to the ‘Machine’ a highly efficient, data-driven structure where the coach is a specialised employee, not the manager.

IF the data-driven approach turns Slot into Paisley - I will happily admit I was wrong because my hope of us becoming relentless winners… will be a reality. Glory Hunter

All we can do it wait and see which bears the most fruit 🤔

                        • 4231 trying to walk the ball into the net as Guardiola used to play it ceased being playable in the Prem in 19-20

The reason too many sides had got far better at the low block, pressing and counter pressing and setting traps to counter from

And they’ve got much better at all that since Guardiola conceded he had to give it up

So, what youre saying is Klopp scouted and signed up Mo Salah

                            • Time to go

                              Long overdue

The style he is trying to implement is obsolete in the Premier League

We went more direct, pressed and counter pressed for 15-20 minutes of the game and looked a miles better team, caused problems and created chances

Everything starts with a top class press and counter press, it really hones the teams movement and positioning off each other, denying the space and creating it

Mixing it up and being direct when it’s on to be and having runs in behind is also very important

Slot is destroying our identity our best 15-20 minutes looked like the players taking it in themselves

And to not be picking up after going 2-1 up offering their players opportunities to shoot or put the ball in easy with no pressure in it is fucking amateur hour
