Do you see fight in any of the current crop, and yes I place salah here, good as he mostly is.

We've often come short from almost achieving something in all comps (twice with klopp) due to a lack of depth. What do we do, spend big on 3 dudes and make it even worse.
It's a rebuild I suppose but we left too much to do. Should have brought in a couple of players the previous summer. Had we got Guehi it would have made it a bit better to be fair. As you say strange to invest so much in so few. With Klopp, we found some bargains like Matip to bolster the team/squad. We added a few decent players every summer pretty much. That's the way to go. This year shows that changing too much too quickly just doesn't work. Having said all that, there is very little evidence that Slot knows how to manage this situation hence...taxi!
From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx

        • Why we need to wield the axe on Slot now and pay the money if necessary to get our man from their current club and get ahead of the curve

No use waiting until the summer Slot should have gone in October

His change of formation and style is never having played it was sheer lunacy and the position of those who endorsed it and spent 430m on it needs serious consideration also

We had a huge kitty to massively strengthen a winning formula and gave strength in depth in it as never before

Jurgen and a lot of these lads toils with precious little strength in depth for 9 years to get us to that position and this clown has skunked the lot

You should write to the club and tell them.

Make sure and post the response here.

Yes - but we still don’t know how much of that is Slot. I would drive Hughes and (Austen Powers) Edwards first

                • Liverpool have had 22 managers in their 133 year history and Arne Slot is the first one to have lost 19 games in a calendar year.

But … but we’ve gone 9 games unbeaten and ok 3 of those games were against newly promoted sides and were all draws but come on … we also hammered 2 points Wolves 2-1 at home, brushed a brilliant 10 man West Ham aside 2-0 and slaughtered 9 man Spurs 2-1 during that time.

And the scintillating free flowing edge of the seat football, my days I’d give a new 5 year contract here and now.

Too much work though. Better just to post and fume.

                    • Well I created a detailed post on what’s going wrong and why and how there is a VAST difference in everything we do between a 433 and 4231 something CCTV despite constantly hankering for it pertinently doesn’t understand

Well everything I’ve ever told him and any other know nothing about why it wouldn’t work using the same players and our not playing to our players strengths has been happening and has been the reason for our losing more games in a season than any Liverpool side in history

                      • 2 forwards making runs in behind left and right keeps 2 full backs occupied and allows us to quickly turn defence into attack and disturbs low blocks

                        • The space their runs makes leaves space for LCM or LB or RCM or RB to advance into and back up the direct ball, win any second ball and create a new point of attack the low block isn’t set or prepared for

We don’t have attacking mid/wingers we have winger/forwards only we sold our best played for LFWD and false 9

They are completely different types of players ours are t suited to a4231 the only one who would have been, we sold

                            • The midfield three with a false 9 dropping in making a four supported by 2 full backs pressing made our press very coordinated and our midfield and sides very difficult to play through or down the sides of

Making sure there was always pressure in the ball so our front foot CBs could comfortably play their best game one c one
