It's a rebuild I suppose but we left too much to do. Should have brought in a couple of players the previous summer. Had we got Guehi it would have made it a bit better to be fair. As you say strange to invest so much in so few. With Klopp, we found some bargains like Matip to bolster the team/squad. We added a few decent players every summer pretty much. That's the way to go. This year shows that changing too much too quickly just doesn't work.
