City have shat it. Spurs have cleaned up the shit out of their own bed in the first.

Non-Homegrown slots are full I think and one (?) Home-grown spot available so not expecting much in the way of business but hopefully we do manage something.Originally posted by Daffydd View PostThere's always tomorrowYour hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? Steel Wool

If only Glasner hadn't let Crystal Palace know that he would depart the club if Guehi was sold - etc etcOriginally posted by miller0863 View PostIf only there had been a home grown England International CB available for ohhh I dunno … £20m? Far fetched I know but that would have been ideal.
Was as disappointed as anyone about Guehi, but we spent big in the Summer which is what most of the clamour has been about for the last 10+ years in here, so I find it hard to be too frustrated by it given that we (relatively speaking) spent loads - we were never going to have a "perfect" window and we did start it with 4 centre-backs (Van Dijk, Konaté, Gomez, Leoni) and a player who has made more appearances at centre-back than at defensive mid throughout his career in Endo.
Guehi is at Man City now and the past is past. The Leoni injury was so bloody unfortunate, annoyingly.Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? Steel Wool

All that is true but we thought Guehi a good idea when everyone was fit, I fail to see why he wasn’t a good idea when we had sever long term defensive injuries.
The £300k a week is a red herring, as even if we would have had to agree to that, we were paying £15m less in a fee.
The whole episode was ridiculous"I am the Normal One."

Ridiculous as many may have deemed it, we offered them £35m and it was accepted - and he did part of his medical.
Igor Julio's loan from Brighton to tide Palace through to January (that never materialised) did us no favours and Glasner made the threat that he made. What's done is done.
With luck we'll get it right next time. I think Gomez is due to be fit for the Man City game so with luck we have 3 available centre-backs (plus Endo who can cover without Grav having to come back in) going forward for our remaining 14 League games and whatever we accomplish in Cup Tournaments - with us having no mid-week game to worry about this week.Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound?
