  • Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner says the club would sell captain Marc Guehi this month if his asking price is met.
The England defender is out of contract in the summer and Manchester City have emerged as contenders to sign him during the January transfer window.
Palace blocked a proposed £35m move to Liverpool last summer but risk losing the 25-year-old for nothing at the end of the season.
City's interest in Guehi has progressed following injuries to defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias during Sunday's draw against Chelsea.
"I'm not naive," said Glasner, as reported by the Athletic and the Times. "If a massive offer comes from City and Marc wants to do it, it will happen."
    "I am the Normal One."

    • Looks like slots done a klopp and closed window with the "happy with my squad"quote.

So we haven't messed up this transfer at any point. Palace decided not to sell. Which is what was known all along.

Yep - so it's all on Marc now.. City will almost certainly offer now in light of their plight.

Just highlights how Hughes and Edwards need binning ASAP. We're on our way back to the transfer committee BS.

          • Anyone remember when we were playing Quansah and Nat Phillips at CB? It happens with every squad. No need to panic. If we get Guehi then great, if not we'll survive.

Liverpool are considering a move for former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood. The 24-year-old Englishman has excelled for Marseille in this campaign. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

              • We've just signed Noah Adekoya, an 18-year-old central defender from Burnley.

That might start a flood of new signings.

                          • Semenyo & Guehi both going to rivals will be a kick in the nuts. Hughes & co insisted on spunking large funds on two. Be interesting to see how much we spend in the next few seasons, after such an outlay.

                            • We only spent that money cause it was stiffed from Jurgen - watch the interview Diary of a CEO - Klopp betrays his true emotions on the matter. And it was STILL less than the Arse spent. Why do people think we aren’t at risk of breaking rules..? We’ve been penny pinching for 10 years

                              • its worrying that it looks like nothing happening in window for us.
have to wonder if higher ups concerned about slot and will give him rest of season before opening chequebook again.
seems like we would prefer to keep chiesa and not play him than buy a winger????
