Who cares. It's the same for both teams.Originally posted by Insidious View PostAbsolutely not using it as an excuse for the dropped points, but not opening a new bloody thread just to ask - where did nine added minutes come from?
Felt like a 4-5 added minutes job for me.
Did the VAR checks and break-ups of play really add up to nine?

Well keeping Jarell would have been a far more prudent way to go ....that as well as capturing Leoni while landing Guehi. Only a blind man failed to notice Konate was a pile of dung. I was screaming about him in May and June! Literally screaming about his abysmal showings fro France - along with his awful form for us from MARCH.. That's about what was needed IF we were serious. Leoni can only be for the future - at 18 and a new league - supposedly the toughest around.. he is a not for this season.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostWell no. They wanted guehi. But given the way things have gone we could certainly do with having him availableLast edited by Steveo; 6 December 2025, 08:44 PM.

Yep. Amazing we jettisoned quansah so fast was a poor window in terms of squad balance. Was hoping we’d just shoot the lights out with the attacking options eh have but looks unlikely now.Originally posted by Steveo View PostWell keeping Jarell would have been a far more prudent way to go and land Leoni and bag Guehi. I think Slot’s plan even though still a shit idea trying to change something that wasn’t broken may have been to play 343 even thrn playing Szobo as a right wing back which is probably what using him at RB was about is a criminal waste
Macca actually created a goal with him dummy, that’s more than Wirtz managed"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

Yep. Whichever, whatever or whoever is to blame is irrelevant really because what's for sure is that those players are not working for that manager.Originally posted by Insidious View PostFor context, we conceded 9 in the entirety of last season's League campaign from set pieces.
Combination of the changing style in the League / sides finding our weakness / our own self-inflicted woes by not doing X, Y, Z properly in training is really stacking up.
The reasons for that we will likely never know but there's a pure disconnect in comparison to last season where the togetherness was totally evident.
100% they're not doing the basics, not doing their job and doing the hard yards and it doesn't matter who's to blame because it will undoubtedly result in the manager losing his job first and that's what will happen here. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

He's got a point in the fact that he's really the only one who's been 'dropped'. And he's obviously not the only player who has massively underperformed.
However his performances have merited being dropped. He can't really argue with that.Something, Something, Something, Dark Side

His comments are strong though. Saying he no longer had a relationship with the manager. Someone in the club wants him gone. He is being blamed for it all.Originally posted by jozza800 View PostHe's got a point in the fact that he's really the only one who's been 'dropped'. It seems maybe Slot has lost the dressing of salah is coming out with this.
Its also really poor from Mo. He should know better than to come out with stuff like that with the way the season is going. Keep that behind closed doors.

It really is funny tho. Slot being credited for the title when the man he has dropped to the bench was the difference between us being champions and not getting close to top 4..
Arne - you were the luckiest manager in history last season - and sadly you believed the hype.
I do feel for the guy, as with Konate.. it isn't his fault.. but there it is. What a fall. Club a mess post Klopp despite him leaving the foundations that the title was built on.Last edited by Steveo; 6 December 2025, 09:26 PM.

Club legend Salah being blamed for Slot’s ridiculous idea to ditch our 433 pressing game that won us 2 league titles in 5 seasons whilst also being robbed of 2
The old club adages such as “If it’s not broken don’t fix it” are sacred in my view and stood the test of time for very good reasons
For Edwards & Hughes to back such lunacy and spend 430m on it makes their positions untenable too in my opinion"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”
