  • Liverpool v Brighton

    Team

    Alisson

    Gomez Konate Van Dijk Robbo

    Szoboslai Gravenberch Jones

    Wirtz

    Chiesa______Ekitike

Macca in just giving a rest to bring on later, Isak not offering enough yet, needs more time, needs to do more without the ball

Long long LONG overdue giving Chiesa a start, the potential for great link up and movement through their work rate skills and intelligence between Ekitike Wirtz and Chiesa is MASSIVE it just has to be tried

Can’t start Ekitike and Isak next game, Ekitike put in a real shift but he has to start for me, give us an hour and see how he’s going, Isak not strong enough in holding it and keeping it and not offering enough without the ball

Robbo stays in for me, Slot needs to learn not to slap players in the face after a good performance , I’m confident Kerkez will be a top player for us but he’s not better than Robbo right now and we need Robbo’s know how and leadership, let Jerkez watch how it’s done

Improve the pressing and counter pressing and intensity passing moving creativity and finishing further still

Chiesa will get around between false 9 No 10 wide positions and arriving as a 9 I think it really needs trying let Chiesa and Wirtz rotate and move around Ekitike and create for him each other and bring the full backs and mids into the game

    Get the win

All the issues have been caused by Slot ripping up the blueprint changing from the 433 we won the league with to trying to play a completely untried, untested and unproven absolute fantasy 4231 in the overpassing try and walk it into the net, not good enough in the press and counter press style that saw us win the league well ahead of City in 19-20 and Guardiola of all coaches abandon that way of playing - It WILL not fucking work in this league, if I’d known that was his plan I’d have called it straight off in the summer it was a cluster fuck of gargantuan proportions

He needs to get back to 433 he needs to swallow his pride and play Chiesa too

Bradley in for Jomez and Wirtz in for Macca.

Same shape, just speed up the passing, try a few one-twos and through balls.

Bradley is suspended, unfortunatly. Accumulation of yellow cards.

Jones and Ekitike have to start. They've earned their place. Isak can start this one on the bench until he finds a bit of form.

                  Alisson

                  Gomez Konate Van Dijk Robbo

                  Gravenberch Mac Allister

                  Szoboslai Wirtz Jones

                  Ekitike

They all put in a serious shift against Inter so I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two swapped out based on fitness.

Ah, good call. Then Jomez to keep his place.

Slot has said Isak has picked up a knock against inter and might not be available for Brighton. I'm hoping these are just cos of his lack of preseason, but the amount of knocks he is picking up is concerning.

Probably just good management. Protecting the player by insinuating he's injured rather than it looking like he was dropped.

You think? I think he is just injured. Small one no doubt. He doesn't seem very robust.
