I called the following on Wirtz early doors

He has a lot of quality but needs to be stronger in the Prem and needs to do everything he does a lot quicker, he just tries to stylise his shape and what he does unnecessarily which adds split seconds to it and see it blocked, cut out or the player it’s intended for all over as he’s receiving it It’s the Prem it’s a lot quicker than the Bundesliga

Needs to be better in the press and counter press, with his final ball and his finishing and stop taking ridiculous unnecessary risks and letting teams break on us with numbers as he did 3 times today

He has improved on all of that to an extent so far but still a long way to go, it’s nothing special linking with Ekitike, it’s Hugo, he links with everyone in certain Chiesa would link up with Hugo best

That's what I mean. Give it 6 months. You'll get there eventually.

He’s a bit of a Thiago so far, everything about him is very stylised and looks a million dollars but what he actually delivers is severely lacking, you’re putting g style over substance you and Steveo should get on 😂

A little style doesn't do any harm. I quite like seeing that. There is plenty of substance too. In 6 months you'll have figured it out. Maybe. Not sure about the other two. They might be a bit slower.

Its easy to see what Wirtz has he just needs to be stronger and quicker in everything and to start delivering some end product, I’d settle for the pass to release a player to assist right now

Well he's not going to magically get stronger and quicker so there's a stick you can continue to beat him with. Quite a handy stick that you made yourself. Funny you never used it for players like Coutinho, or Bobby. Or maybe you did. Who knows.

I'll just continue to enjoy watching a magic player in action.

Quicker in what he does, thought process, time from seeing it to executing it doesn’t get a lot of key passes off quick enough and telegraphs them

I think that's his strength actually. His speed of thought. He's not the quickest nor the strongest physically but he is brilliant on the ball.

100% it should be Isak. Bring him back in slowly once he is at full fitness and proves his worth. Ekitike should be starting the majority of our games on current form.

I didn't see the game today. How was Kerkez today? Reading on line he was good.

He had a good game. Defended pretty well overall.

Got a lot of help from Jones not as good as Robbo lacks leadership and know how was at fault for Leeds last goal just ran off that post into a group of players nowhere near getting the ball and no chance of it he’s another needs time watching Robbo

Let’s not get too carried away, still lots of work to do on the training pitch.

Brighton cut is open at times and missed some very easy chances. They could and probably should have been 2-1 up.
