  • Salah Situation

Personally I'm disgusted in him. If he loves the club so much why has he decided to cause issues when the team is struggling. It stinks of Ronaldos attitude at utd & its not the first time. His comments come across like he's won every trophy on his own. It absolutely reeks of arrogance & in my opinion...Liverpool are a team & despite what Mo has did for the club i would say get rid of him we dont need to be the next man utd

Just an addition....they should be together after the Jota situation. Shouldn't that inspire them to win everything?I find Mo's attitude disrespectful, arrogant & very close to neurotic. A week on the bench & he's put himself first.

He has previous. Remember when Klopp left him out? He refused to shake his hand before going on as sub then there was a shouting match on the touchline.
Every player is accountable for his performances and output. Except Mo apparently
      "I am the Normal One."

I hopw Hendo told him to pull his shorts up and get on with it.

A bit of a reality check like this might be exactly what he needs.

This is probably why competition is good. Hes so used to being the only superstar in the team, now they all realise there's quality tonreplace them....(allegedly) I think Slobbo has shown the best reaction to new players coming in

I agree completely that Mo's "thrown under the bus" routine was an embarrassing look and pure ego, especially considering the turmoil we're in. That kind of public cry-baby routine is inexcusable for a club legend. BUT, let's stop making Salah the sole villain here.

Slot's handling of this was breathtakingly naive and spineless. You don't bench your best player in an age, top scorer, and assister that carried us to the title for three games on the bounce….then refuse to give him a single minute against Leeds while other lads who've been walking all season are still jogging around.

Naive imo.. what did he think was gonna happen? He didn't just bench Salah, he publicly humiliated him. He was all but guaranteed to get that explosive reaction. He was weak - something he has himself tried to deny… but it feels less like a manager setting boundaries and more like an order from the suits above. Slot was too weak to manage the player properly, so he was forced to drop the hammer to appease the Owner/Edwards/Hughes/ love triangle damaging his own credibility in the dressing room.

Slot made a bad situation worse by trying to look tough in the most idiotic way possible. He didn't show strength - imo he showed the squad he's a fool or a puppet.

And if Slot needed a lesson, he got it when Seedorf showed him on the pitch and on camera. Arne, lad, you don't treat your star player like a reserve. If you do decide to humiliate him, the resulting blow-up - and initiating the next move - is entirely on you and the club.

You don't bench your best player?? Slot can't win,. he keeps picking him hes called weak cause he dares not drop him. He drops him and gets slated as well. This is down to Salah all this. he should accept hes not being picked. same with anyone.
Its not fair on a great player. and others should be dropped as well. But we have such a poor squad. we can't replace everyone. If we had an extra qualify defender theres no way Konate would be in the 11.

You can bench anyone - but he humiliated him. Even Gerrard has said it’s way strange he didn’t get a simple minute v Leeds.

Thats not Slot - that’s the club. that’s pathetic and what Seedorf said what he did to a squirming Arne

One person is being naive in this conversation, that's for sure.

Agree with OP. Salah was totally out of line but he's done it before. I suspect he's angling for a move in Jan.

Has he been worse than Kerkez? Worse than Isak? Worse than Konate… Macca? Really… You top scorer and top assister from year after year and last season- NOT one Minute? When you need a goal..? Any of them missed 3 on the bounce and no appearance..? He has been the star man for years. No he doesn’t deserve an automatic place… Bit Slots action - almost certainly a diktat from the experts above - was a humiliation.

                    Slot got Karma in Yorkshire..

I think Seedorf is fully aware - as are all top players (Carthorse Carragher not included) - fully aware that NO manager in the predicament we were in....refuses to even field his top player when you need a goal after the worst run of results in 70 SEVENTY years!

I get it - many are minions and political parties of all kinds depend on this ..you just fall in line. Salah was bang out of order...He must be punished... The end.. No attempt to examine the details of the events that led up to the outburst. Just.. he was benched - that's it..

                              Naah.... that's not just it.

Yes, once again... he spoke out of turn and poorly and what he said sounded decidedly egotistical.. NOBODY is arguing that fact.

But he did so in a moment of raw anger.

It's understandable that you can't imagine being a star player like Mo...but IF none of you are capable of putting yourselves in his shoes as a human being - to understand just how humiliated HE felt at that time..A player who has carried the responsibility to score and score and score... Then that's your own lack of compassion.

But none of it.. none of it hides the reality of what I have said about Arne, his weakness, and why plenty of star players have come out to say they understand Salah - not agreeing with his words - but understand his angst at that moment - and many do not understand WHY he wasn't given a single minute.

And it plays into Salah's comments about "someone at the club." For me it's clear...he is talking about those directing the football. As was Seedorf on the touchline.. because a Seedorf KNOWS how a club works.. Far better even than Steveo or justme and certainly far more than a Jokestrap
