Dropping him is one thing. But to not discuss it with the player and to ignore it is another. Even after mó came out and said what he did (completly wrong by the way),
Slot has said he didn't approach mo to talk. He wanted mó to make the first move. In my opinion as a manager that's wrong. He should have called mó in and had it out with him to find out his thinking.

But as some have said, I think Slot is going by ordered from above. I still think the club want him gone and want that big off for him.

Both sides have done wrong here. Salah shouldn't have done what he done and he should apologise. Slot could have have handed it better instead decided to ignore it.

Here again, and Stevie is closely associated with the club, his media career is hugely dependent on maintaining harmony...the last thing he is going to do is make ANY suggestion that the club or Arne got anything wrong, yet he cannot escape stating the obvious here:

Hopefully things are sorted between the 2 of them after their chat this am... Mo needs to apologise BUT so too does Arne Slot.. He surely MUST have known this was a likely outcome... ?

Maybe as he points to a picture of Hughes...he tells Mo... like that kid with a fake fin in Jaws - "He m m m made me do it".. "He told m m me to do it...'

Except this isn't the first time Mo's been in this situation. He threw the toys out with Klopp too.

To be clear, I hope it gets resolved and Mo's form picks up. But I'm not willing to guess at who is to blame and automatically start throwing stones at Slot. That's just stupid.

We all know that.. and more of a reason not to totally blank the geezer that has carried us so often, a club legend (real one) that was scratching around and desperate for some form....a lad who hasn't dipped in 8 sodding years - when he was most needed... v Leeds....the scene of the outburst.

The first time he was upset with Jurgen and for right OR for wrong showed it - this is who Mo Salah is! But Mo Salah also could have walked last January and tripled his salary!!! How you like them apples.. ?

This is who all of these players are.. If you hadn't noticed..

But WTF does Stevie G know about World Class forwards eh.. eh?

There you go again, in 5 different directions. Why are you posting stupid snippets? Stevie is entitled to his opinion as is everyone else. You keep appealing to authority instead of standing up for yourself. Next you'll be rolling out a Sam Allardyce quote. Think for yourself FFS.

We didn't need him against Leeds unless you think he was going to cover for Konate and stop a couple of their goals. We scored 3 without him. We actually needed him against Sunderland and he played. Unfortunately we needed the old Mo and not the version we got. It's no surprise he was dropped again after that.

It's a TEAM game. Mo isn't pulling his weight so was dropped. If anything else is going on behind the scenes then we know nothing about it. Hopefully they can all be adult enough to sort it out.

probably will get sorted i'd imagine

Eitherway had his best years, everything comes to a end

if he stays means they can hold off getting another attacker for a year, assuming chiesa will go at some point, and we need another option on the left.... yeah.

What you, I and everyone else knows about this is as follows:

                    1. Salah isn't playing well
                    2. Salah was benched
                    3. Salah went to the press

Everything else is speculation and mostly bullshit.

                      No …

And stop trying to bury the “stupid snippets” on the page before.

And while you’re at it stop trying to keep the merry fools falling for your
                      1.
                      2.
                      3.Bollox.

It isn’t that simple although most people are.

In the real world there are humans who are gutter dwelling shills on the take, and some who do extraordinary things, like Mo Salah has.

And when someone like that is dropped for poor form - that’s perfectly fine. It’s not necessarily fair when others have been as bad or worse BUT it is the managers call (we hope). But when that player on your books - someone who’s carried you often - for 8 years is treated so poorly - in his view - that he feels he has no option but to go to the press - and he says some things he probably shouldn’t - it does not absolve the club/management for allowing such a situation to unravel. It smacks of a lack of care at best OR something more sinister.

From the players perspective it obviously looked like a scapegoating. Maybe - just maybe it genuinely was not (ahem) but that’s how it looked in the moment.

I suppose you’re happy with Slots answers about who decided that Mo stayed behind for the Milan game. Melt…

So - like I suggest - lame duck. Use those orange webbed feet and paddle off

I'll say it again for you. Stop posting stupid snippets. What has "Salah's mindset, that's what makes him different" got to do with how the club are treating him or why he was dropped? Nothing. It's just soundbites to fill time on a football show. His mindset needs to give him a kick up the backside to start playing properly again.

As I said, one person is definitely being naive here.

If you believe the pre-meditated comments that Mo uttered to the press, then you'll land at your conclusion. If you're stupid enough to believe that there's only one side of the story, that's on you.

The mindset of a world class - best winger in the Premier league player is just that. Despereate to play. Desperate to get the goals and assists that he craves. This is what drives them.. IF you have a clue..

So - If you have a player with this unique ability and unique mindset that Gerrard highlights. the club/manager should not be freezing that man out of that kind of a game - in that kind of a predicament and not expect some blowback..!!

It's simple when you can actually think.

The naivety is the common man who swallows the bollox and is ONLY able to see one side...

As for Mo's comments - I don't like some of them at all. But they were made in anger and at a moment where he felt humiliated. His comments on being thrown under the bus are poorly worded but the sentiment is 100% correct. To freeze him out entirely at that time is exclusion. Is he to sit there and say ok Konate has been 10 times worse but he is there because we don't have much choice..Gakpo is the worlds best Ok then - what am I to the club.. We are 2:0 and coasting. Do I not get a chance to get a goal? Ok it's 2:1 do you want me to come on and keep them honest in their defensive third? NO.. Ok.. 2:2 ... need my goals now? No.. nada zip.

                          poor form from Club/Slot/Hughes.. Simples

It's pretty incredible how Salah can inappropriately run to the press and have people turn that into the fault of Arne Slot.

If only they had treated him better. What about, if only he had played better?

This really is the post-truth era. Why have a discussion when you can just pass everything off as fake news.

No - I am not saying it is Arne's fault at all. I think Arne has been weak.. I don't believe it was Arne's decision BTW.. Just a personal opinion.

Mo said what he said - some truth to it - some very poor words that don't look too clever. And I believe Salah's use of the term manager for relationship fits - also his use of the term "someone"

"I have a good relationship with the manager - and all of a sudden we don't have any relationship,. I don't know why, it seems to me , how I see it is someone doesn't want me in the club"

Putting on my big pants I'll go out on a limb and say Mo is NOT talking about Arne Slot. I think most will know this to be the case IF they actually listen.

I am saying in light of how badly our star man has been handled there was always the real risk of blowback - which they got. Probably suits whoever really wants him to not be at the club anymore.

                              Let's see

When you say about someone wanting you out, who? "I don't know. I don't know. I really don't know."

Sporting director? "No, no, don't put the words in my mouth. From the situation I see that's it."

So it's not Slot, it's not Hughes. Are we to believe that Edwards wants Salah out and that's why he's not playing?
