  • Aw there there. Limp off now

    • Good win that. Spurs were actually decent in spells but we had too much in attack.

What's that, 6 unbeaten now? And climbing the table nicely.

But as a fan of 60+ years I also want them to play well.
I want to dominate play, create goal scoring chances.
          And also defend well.
In short I want to be proud of my team.
To achieve this they need to be well coached, we have a talented squad who are playing really badly.
If anybody thinks this team has any coaching before or during the match I despair.
Appreciated. But we're not in the best of form. Wins are all that matter at the moment.

We need to build form and confidence. And the best way to do that is winning games.

I'm not entirely sold on Slot, and we have problems that he isn't addressing but winning games certainly helps whilst figuring stuff out.

          • Slot has the support of the fans that matter. Those at the ground and those who travel to away games.

            • You go to the ground to give your support whatever happens

You come on a forum to discuss what you see on the pitch, not to give unconditional support to people who will never read a word.

Get a grip you glory hunting troll.

3 points with other results going our way too. It's been a great day.
We really are bit players this season. Who knows when we'll be the headline act again.
The last 10 mins was a shitshow. No other way to describe it. Secure possession, keep finding the spare men and run them ragged. But no we do crazy balls to a man isolated, lose possession and panic.
Surely Wolves game can lighten the atmosphere for the team, Anfield and this place

Some nice videos of away fans singing Slot's name after the Inter game. Those are the fans that matter.

You spouting on a forum, after a win, is embarrassing.

Didn't we just win all three points?

Some of the meltdowns on here, jesus christ 😂
I am hoping that we begin to "click" around mid-February to early March. Obviously us clicking before then would be more than ideal, but the most important time to do so is while we juggle the League and the effort at the Champion's League knockout stages - if we get there.

Until such times, I expect bumps in the road and results are what matter.

Frustrating as it was to see us unable to see it out at 2-0, or kill it off by making it 3-1 after we conceded, we still won.

Another game without defeat, level with Chelsea, a win against decent opposition - I'll take it.

More concerned about potential injuries than performances. You'll get 2 or 3 wins a season where you play awfully, but get it done. I'm happy enough to chalk it up to that and keep going.

It's the last Saturday before Christmas. Everyone should have a glass of something nice, some snacks and to stick a game or movie on and be glad of the 3 points. Life's too short.

So, what you're saying is we were clinical...

Joking aside, many of their chances were from set pieces and we defended those well enough by and large.

Their fans were boisterous and fully against the red card which was warranted.

Spot on. We're 4 wins in a row away from being in the title race.

I think you’re missing the cycle that’s repeating

                        Lose several in a row
Revert to 433 have two great wins and a loss marred by Var

Slot uses this as an excuse to revert to the 4231 that will never be successful as even Guardiola can’t have his team play that way since 6 seasons ago

We drop loads of points and get embarrassed again a few times

Slot reverts to 4312 the 3 in midfielder being key gets 3 or 4 unbeaten, with 2 good wins

AGAIN uses this as a cue to revert to the hopeless 4232 AGAIN and we were shit AGAIN it was only through playing more directly second half we scored 2

This repeating cycle doesn’t get us anywhere or win anything it failed in 2019-2020 and hasn’t.been played again since and that was with a better squad, more directness and a far better balance of players picking up and those being in space Slot’s had a pipe dream to play an obsolete system and spent 430 million on it

Basics required and exhibited by all teams including the best are fundamentally missing if he doesn’t give it up after today he needs to go, if he’d have gone 8 weeks ago we’d be in the title race

We're not winning the title this season. That ship has sailed.

It's ok. We don't have to win it every year. Still plenty to play for.

                          • Huge credit to Isak by the way. He has been sat on the bench recently. Got his chance. Lovely run, great finish. More of that lad.

                            • It came from us doing what we gave up doing in that awful 4231 playing with intensity being direct when it’s there to be, moving the ball quickly in as few passes as possible to create the chance and when it was on

If Wirtz plays the ball as soon as it’s in, rather than wait a second or two we still
Score but Isak doesn’t get injured

                              • Foundations are there for next season, just need a few players and we'll be laughing well hopefully.

Shame isak scored a classic isak goal...... and then got injured again.
