  • Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers

    Team

    Alisson

    Bradley Konate Van Dijk Robertson

    Jones Gravenberch Mac Allister

    Chiesa Ekitike Wirtz

Make sure we’re a lot better in the press and counter press and in our picking up rather than just standing in space for a needless 5 yard pass, which also sees us crowd ourselves out

Use runs in behind switches and medium to long diagonals move the ball quickly and directly in as few passes as necessary to create the chance and score or release a player to assist

Set the corners up to get going just the other side of the PENALTY spot out of their keepers reach have a player corner if their box far side and another just by the D on the edge to pick up and quickly recycle any second ball and out it back in to the other far post where we’ll have 2-3 players inside looking to attack it or drill it into feet to turn home

Make sure we play the ball to release players when it’s in as often as possible, make sure we have with and if they’re pressing our KB and LCM or RB and RCM we have LFWD or RFWD making an inside out run to disarm their press and be found and a player making a run to support that or if they’re back too the No9 does that

Make sure if we go longer diagonally or by a switch we have a player immediately making a run to support the player that ball is to, to pick up any second ball or support it

These things are just best practice and keep you in good shape good habits and help you keep clean sheets and create as many chances as possible.

Variation is important against low blocks too as you can go diagonal or switch, support that ball with a run from another player and win it to have a new point of attack the low block isn’t set for with say two players in our left, with 2 runners coming in from our right off the back of defenders from where the play was before

Really basic simple things that help you keep clean sheets, create and score more goals, control games far better and restrict the opposition to as little possession in your half as possible

    Get the win NO excuses

I’m sorry I supported Slot as the continuity and evolution candidate

If I’d had any inkling he was the continuity then devolution candidate trying to play an old Dutch way of playing that hasn’t been effective in the Prem fir 2 decades except for City who played it far quick and better but even they had to give it up after the 2019-2020 season because too many side were too good at pressing and counter pressing and setting traps to counter it wasn’t viable for them anymore even through they moved it quicker and had a far better balance of players picking up and looking to be in space

It’s going back to the 99’s trying to actually make a team play to mage one player a star player midfield playmaker, the team has to be the star

Slot’s at last chance saloon now, if he attempts to set up and play that utter shite 4231 with no balance of players picking up and the 2 or 3 necessary looking to be in space and with no pressing and counter pressing game, needlessly overpassing at a dull as ditchwater entirely ineffective tempo with zero cut and thrust or intensity constantly passing up opportunities to release players more directly in favour of needless sideways or backward passes he should be escorted from the premises immediately with his staff taking over until the new man comes in next game

You think Bradley will be fit?

Very real possibility that there is no Bradley - to go with no Gomez and no Szobozlai

I'm sure Frimpong will recover from a split lip...

                Ali

                Frimpong - Konate - VVD - Kirkez

                Grav - Jones

                Wirtz

                Chiesa - Ekitike - Rio

Why do people put chiesa in the team still ? he's the 5 minute man.

Like I said if he's not going to play him, he needs to leave in january and we need a new attacker, and a CB

probably only a CB comes in and we might need another CB in summer plus a Attacker.. and could still do with a extra body in midfield.

Slot will bow to the pressure and he’s running out of options

What pressure? he didn't get a look in barely when we was losing every week, never mind now we're winning games

Maybe with a chunk of games near each other and isak out again and probably for a while... perhaps but nothing new there, plus frimpong is back.

It's like the people who tell you this Villa player would have been great for us, or that Leeds player would have been good. It's easy to be right in an alternate universe because you can never be proven wrong. Those clowns really believe they have some insight that LFC doesn't. Imagine that. Some tool sitting on his sofa thinks he knows more about footie than hundreds of paid professionals at the club.

So Heaven forbid we draw or lose a game. We'll get the chorus of "If only Slot had played Chiesa". We all know it wouldn't matter a jot. They even know. But it makes them feel good for a minute thinking they know better than Slot. Then it's back to moaning about the next thing.

Because they know the league they’ve watched lots of full games of lots of full teams over several years and know how the league has evolved and his idea to play 4231 abs how he envisages it being played just won’t work he doesn’t know enough about this league and the history of it
