  • Doubt we deserved that win considering the second half's lack of performance. but will take the win in the end
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century

    • Positives , wirtz , kerkez and ekitike , I do not like that midfield . Need some pace up top on the wings , that midfield to easy to play through , lightweight and no cohesiveness

      • FT 2-1 up thr bum job done poor lacklustre display overall too much overpassing for the sake of it not creating any threat

The not picking up to allow transitions was there again, not good enough we keep letting teams transition to a mid completely unmarked between our midfield and defence we have to pick up we can’t be allowing that

As ever all the focus on the next game in winning it

            • Terrible overall performance again. When we start playing decent teams we'll be in trouble.

              • Grief that was a poor second half.

                Better from Wirtz.

Midfield absolutely non existent in the second half, shockingly bad.
                CB and 6 asap please.

At least Dom got a rest.

Yes. If he keeps this up he'll be as good as your mum soon.

                      100%

The shape of the midfield is just all wrong, as it has been all season.

As good as Grav's goal was, I don't want him in those positions as a 6.

Mac may as well have not been playing.

Jones played well and seems to be the only one who even slightly tries to anchor, which shouldn't be the case.

                      • I hate being negative when we win, so to counter balance it I did think Wirtz, Ekitike and Kerkez were excellent (the first two moreso in the first half.). Think they've built up a decent little triangle out on the left.

                        • You're never going to have any control in midfield when you have the likes of Jones and Mac Allister in it, never mind when both are playing at the same time.

Agree. Kerkez is settling in now. Wirtz is too.
Unbeaten in 7 and it's obviously an improvement in terms of results but our overall play is still a worry.
We lack control and composure and just go to pieces if we concede.
The defence is still the biggest concern.

                              • Kerkez has been getting there as you’d expect. Taken a while but not easy joining a team with the level of expectation that comes when you leave Bournemouth and Join Liverpool. And to make things harder a side that for whatever reason had lost its belief. The defence is a concern i suggest the midfield is at times - shocking. Not sure where enough goals going to come from if Hugo has to sit out any stretch.

We have a tougher group of games coming up. Dom will be back tho. Let’s see - we we abject v Spurs - but for crazy nature of that game and the sending offs - we are unlikely to take the 3 points there.

Leeds at home ‘should’ be simple enough - Fulham and the Arse away…. We will need to be a shyte load better or we don’t take any points.
