Fucks sake Jokestrap at least a third of the games he played were at LFWD many of us here preferred him there

      • He also made quite a few goals through his work ethic, pace and pressing he did make teams defences panic and create gaps

Had a really good pre season too, still young, some forwards don’t put it all together until 25/26

        • For anyone wondering why Chiesa and Rio don't start on a regular basis, that Barnsley game was your answer. One is over the hill and the other isn't ready yet.

No he played about a third of his games at LFWD when Jota was the main striker

He was better than Gakpo got more goals and assists than him broke lines made defences panic abd implode and Diaz was miles better than Gakpo

            • For people wondering why Wirtz was shite bat the goal and assist and we made a piss poor team look like contenders

It took two genuine class players to pick the right moments to deliver genius where Wirtz wasn’t able to posture and show boat but simply had to do what he did from the position they made him do it

The showboating posturing trying to look clever saw him waste another moment of genius from Szobo

Hmm 2 goals should have been 3 from playing the ball with zip on it and directly when it was on to

Jones needs credit for seeing the picture too, he saw what was on and that’s we he drilled it into Ekitike’s feet as he did

Do fsg stick with slot or move for alonso while he's still available?
                You'd think "stick" for now.

I don't see them rushing to sack a Manager who has us 4th, in a decent position in the Champion's League and who was at the helm when we won the League last season.

Whether people agree with that mindset is up to them, but I don't foresee a Slot sacking imminently.

                • I think while the season is still alive he won’t be going anywhere and we still have two trophies and Champions League qualification to play for yet.

Definitely. Why would they sack him now if they weren't going to after our bad run.
We're not playing eye catching football, it's mundane and to be fair awful a lot of the time, we still look defensively poor despite plugging the leaks but even after those things we've managed to stop losing games.
At the end of the season if there's no upturn in the way we're playing and someone is available who they think could do better he may go but the only way he goes before then is of we go on another spectacular shit show of results.

                      • Because Xabi Alonso was Real Madrid manager then and isn’t now..?

I am not saying they will pull the trigger - just answering the question: “why would they sack him now.”

I don’t think they will either btw but unless things change fast he is gone in May.

Don't see it happening personally. It s not something FSG have history with but who knows, he was their first choice so maybe they'll be tempted? But I think Slot has bought himself time right now.

Why should FSG go for him right now? have some respect for ourselves

Chiesa bought him the time. He was a goner but for that goal.. Maybe that was his Robbins moment and he goes on to be the next Alex Ferguson..

                              Get your bets in folks..

F$G fired Rodgers in October 2015... we had lost 4 and just drawn a turgid game v the BS... Not quite the same scenario and Rodgers hadn't won a title BUT F$G know what it was that won the title.. they may be many things - but thicko football fans and punditry - they are not.. They know full well that was 80% and more on Jurgen Klopp. 100% Klopp's team - built by - coached by and managed by the man who then sang out the name of the man HE endorsed in a battle cry to the Kop at his own farewell. A call to arms - answered before tools were downed.

                              • Not that the minions will know fed a diet of PR leaks to friendly media mouthpieces..but the only thing that stops Alonso being our 'manager' next season... imo - is Alonso..

And it needs to be a manager..the 'Cigar Smoking Wrinkled Dick' and his chum Edwards and his underling Hughes - must be kept away from the football.. It doesn't work. at least not IF we want what we had under Jurgen.
