You obviously didn't watch the game.

Best not to comment on things you know nothing about Gooner Steve. Which is an awful lot in your case.

The key point is 3 of the top 4 teams failed to win today. Arsenal and LFC drew. City lost. Villa play tomorrow.

Could be a weekend where none of the top 4 win.

5 points is still a massive gap down there, but West Ham will feel ridiculously buoyed by that result today.

If they can close it to 3 points or so at some stage they might believe they can rescue their situation in the last stretch.

Sorry but I don't really get that post.

Who cares about the 3 above us? surely we're more bothered about 4th-10th now, and UTD won, yeah great day!

What's not to get. It's a factual post. I'm not celebrating anything, just pointing out that the rest of the top 4 haven't won today either. It's a tight league.

Why would it be a surprise though

They've spent enough, i'd say they'll be a bit screwed if they don't stay up.

                  Who gives a fuck about top4 ?

All we should care about is 4th, that tight we're behind villa 7 points? could be 10 tomorrow, 14 behind arsenal, 22 games gone.

No excuse not to beat burnley at home

We've got bournemouth, sunderland both away soon city at home... brighton.... we've dropped too many points against teams we should be beating.

If you don't care about how the top 4 done then don't reply to the post. What's your issue with it?

Arsenal failed to beat Forest, who sit 2 places above Burnley. It's not just us.

Forest was at home... bit of a difference, why do you care how the top 3 do? they've obviously beat teams lower down more than us hence they have more points believe it or not I know that's really hard to understand, one result doesn't change the fact we've been poor, just because arsenal didn't beat forest away...

Arsenal managed to beat the mighty burnley 2-0 away from home... guess what most clubs have managed, hence they're on 14 pts same with Leeds.... and the rest... but it's ok because it's a tight league...

                      what a load of shite.

                        Really?

I'm talking about results in the league this weekend. If you're not interested, don't respond.

You're ranting about the rest of the season. You just happened to pick a post of mine to do it in. We're talking about very different things.

I don't think I said it would be a surprise, but to try to answer that question anyway - West Ham were very recently 7 or 8 points adrift and have only garnered 17 points from 22 games. Closing down a 5-point gap on a team that has been accruing more points per game through the season than you is never easy - and they're chasing Forest, who have spent a fair wedge themselves in recent seasons.

One of my clients is so frustrated with their ownership situation and is convinced that if they did happen to go down, it could be more of a "Leeds" situation than a West Brom/Norwich one. Whether that's an accurate assessment or not I don't know but their next few seasons could have some intrigue about them.

                              Newcastle draw 0-0 with Wolves.

Another 0-0 though for Wolves it’s another indication of their improvement.
                                Wolves 0-0 Newcastle
