But why was it , if you ask and see what transpired it is obvious.
They defend , get the ball and pass, pass pass right through the whole team and we scramble.
We get the ball even on the break, and we pass side to side then back and all our players are walking into a massed defence.
Game after game all season( except when we ran and closed down the GOOD teams)
Our whole problem is MOVEMENT off the ball, to recieve a pass and to defend their out ball.
The players need the commitment and drive these so called lesser teams show against us.
But who can motivate them (like Klopp), who can bollock them?
Picking two absolutely useless players (out of position) to steady the defence is a scandle.

Our midfield is constantly caught between attacking and defending without cohesion. They end up neither protecting the back four or getting into the box on the odd occasion we do get down the sides. Way too much recycling possession between cbs and whatever midfielder drops back to within 5 yards of them. Robbo probably played the 3 best balls we played in the game coaches not scared to try it.

Indeed it's a mess, down to lack of forward planning too.

only need 6-7 players, X2 cbss at least X2 mid LW RW RB, don't worry about it lads, not just squad players either, starters, at least 1 no6 in midfield 1 on bench but the rest starters.

We played direct quickest route to goal as under Jurgen there was space between our midfield 3 and the THREE forwards

Having 2 forwards instead of three and a fullback gives our midfielders less to aim at Wirtz blocks the lines for them to pass a lot too

Put the lads in a 433 Wirtz LCM

I think it’s clear they don’t believe in Slot anymore abd that’s the problem

If you played like you did v Marseille more direct less overpassing and posturing by Wirtz

I did pony out the risk of the needless overpassing and not hitting the runners when they were on back in October tbf

Both guys on 300k a week are simply not justifying their wages. VvD was undoubtedly the catalyst for is losing that game, his slack jack performances are becoming far too frequent,Salah just looks done. No way he should have got 90 mins today.
