  • Liverpool v Newcastle

Well well well Wirtz best game yet playing a more Coutinho role with the front 3 ahead of him, that’s the best use of him for me

    433

    Alisson

    Ramsay Konate Van Dijk Robbo

    Szobo Gravenberch Wirtz

    Salah Ekitike Gakpo

Need to be a lot better in our picking up pressing and counter pressing, Salah Ekitike and Gakpo need drilling in doing it far better as a front 3

I think LCM Coutinho role is Wirtz best position

Newcastle will set a really good press abd counter pressing, thry often look to win it a bit deeper and go direct to Gordon or Barnes from a bit deeper or go left to centre citcke to right or right to centre circle to left to release either Barnes or Gordon so we need to.be on it

We need to pick up their centre circle guy Grav and theirLFWD & RFWD so thry can’t be released easy

Need to be in it in our own press abd counter press much better to nick it straight back if thry nick it abd don’t let them get those passes off

Be a big test this game

    Get the win no excuses

Just realised I didn't have Slobo in my previous lineup which is a mistake. Who gets dropped though?

      Alisson

      Gomez Konate Van Dijk Kerkez

      Gravenberch Slobo

      Salah Wirtz Gakpo

      Ekitike

      4231 must prevail.

Got to.be 3 up top with Wirtz deeper for me

We visibly fad 3 up ahead of him most of that game and it was so much better

Macca was Macca again too with Wirtz not blocking the lines Szobo was Szobo Robbo was Robbo Mo was Mo Gakpo was unfortunately Gakpo 🤣😂

Regardless of formation, it’s almost February - we’re at home - they’ve just been fighting it out with PSG away in the French capital while we’ve had a kick about on the turf at L4 with a Carrier Bag…. This better be our first league win of 2026.

I have a feeling we'll win this game.

I know JokeShop is all about the new boys but come on, surely you at least see the absolute chasm of difference in how Robbo links uses the space including arriving in only from deeper and the ball compared to Kerkez?

Good to here Kanote will be back as he will be better than Endo up against big Dan Burn. No doubt Newcastle will be hitting it long into the corners looking for the long throw.

Dan Burn is injured I think.

At least Joelinton won’t be kicking anyone

Some just seem to get away with it as “it’s the way they play”. Paul Scholes for instance was laughed at because he “couldn’t tackle” as opposed to being called out for being the dirty manc bastard he actually was
