Can't argue with that. Only a cheating City have been able to stop us in the league over the best part of 10 years.
Actually cheating FAPGMOL that handed then the 18-19 and 21-22 titles we won

We’d have been right up there another season too where we have an appalling amount of FAPGMOL stitch ups

But those 2 we definitely won in my honest heart or hearts

We need not just to win and always been competitive at the very least but we need to play quality exciting attacking football

Hughes should be sacked he’s made a series of horrendous fuck ups

          Selling Diaz
Not replacing Diaz with Home Grown Semenyo
          Not replacing Diaz at all
Keeping Gakpo on wages well about his ability while refusing Diaz what he was worth

Failing to sign Home Grown Guehi for a bargain price

Selling several home grown players to leave us with reduced squads in the Prem and Champions League

Letting Ramsay who had one more year needed training with an English or Welsh club to become HG go on loan to Scotland fkn idiot that’s likely halved his sale value

He needs to be made aware of our need for homegrown players Klopp brought through Trent, Quansah, Jones, Elliott and Bradley and made 4 of them by giving them minutes

Loaning Elliott too, he would have been a good and useful player to have

This all adds up to gross incompetence from Hughes

Nyoni will also be a very good mid for us if Slot gives the lad minutes Loaning

We have a couple more mids who minutes would do the power of good too

That was a good watch. The key message was the owners are here for the long term and are here to win. Arne is their man and they are backing him. Everyone wants to be successful and they are planning to make that happen.

Probably answers about 90% of the drudge on this forum if people bothered watching it.

                Just media guff

You don’t try to win by backing a manager to dismantle and breakdown the way of playing that’s made you successful and if incredibly effective in the Prem and Champions League

And you have proper football ppl involved, not one proper football person who understands the value of continuity or marketing person who understands our style of play has been bringing in big bucks would have sanctioned something thought up and put on paper never played by our players or managers

I was fine with us selling Diaz, as an act, in isolation. Prior to Diogo's untimely and tragic death, which none of us could have predicted, you naturally start at rejuvenation of your squad.

Mo is 33 and was being kept on due to his ridiculous performance levels (unfortunately he dropped off, though should still finish the season with a respectable goal and assist tally) and we had Diogo who was 28 and Diaz who is 29 now - so we were always going to move someone on from that age bracket - and getting a big fee for a player whose Dad was constantly talking about a move for (for about 24 months) whose peak we calculated we had probably seen with us (jury's out on that bit) was all well and good to me, given how we like to recoup and reinvest.

The problem, as you say, was the lack of replacement. Gakpo and Ngumoha is not suitable depth for that side if you're hardly going to play Rio at all - and even if you were, you'd probably lean towards a more developed player with Rio on loan or something.

Aye watch the video and you'll see scenes of the club winning the league.

Must drive you mad every time you see that Steveo.

Everyone is a genius on player sales with the benefit of hindsight. It's boring as fuck. We have a quality squad that will be superb when everyone is fit. Again that is addressed in the video. People would do well to watch it rather than spout ill-informed crap.

Fair points Sid, I don’t think Diaz was the only fuck up as detailed, Rio should get more minutes and should have even if we signed another forward there are plenty of games 3 cups.

The change of formation and style didn’t help us or Rio he’d have got more minutes and we’d be sitting in a title race now without that shit

Slot needs to use him and Nyoni when we’re 2 or more up with 20!minutes left ffs

Is it the system that won the league

Or was Hettinga influential and was the Klopp influence on the players as in thrm naturally doing what they had been a lot of the time having been doing that for years?

The goals were all very much Klopp era goals that’s for sure
