In a match where it feels incredibly difficult to find anything positive to say, I wanted to at least attempt to do so by highlighting a lad who has quietly settled in recent weeks.

The lad is 22 and I think if we win that game instead of conspiring to chuck it, we potentially sit here and talk about his tenacity and work-rate.

    Thought he played really well.

Agree. He has been quality for a couple of months now.

He's much better defensively but gives his all to help the team out in attack. Can't fault him for effort.

He was absolute garbage with the ball absolutely atrocious

He doesn’t know how to work the space with/off the LFWD it’s Gakpo but we don’t have that issue with Robbo

He let the runner go for their pen and hoofed it aimlessly 3 or 4 times to invite City pressure when we’d just needed to keep it

He was otherwise very good defensively but he has to do so much better with the ball, Wan Bissaka can do what he does without the ball too clubs need it at both ends

Ah yes, I remember you used to have a hard on for Wan Bissaka before he went to United.

19 is just being contrarian. He does that on every thread. Thinks it makes him look clever.

Genuinely exciting to watch in moments against Brighton (half-time of 4th round of FA Cup at time of posting) - long may it continue.

Hoping to see more improvement with the ball and positionally when forward from this lad for the rest of the season
