I think Macca gets a lot of unfair stick to be honest, I think his contribution is often underestimated He is guilty of not picking up at times but that’s been all of them until recently when we’ve made improvements on it

He’s been scoring and assisting recently too and got some important goals for us

He should be taking free kicks on the edge of the area where most can’t get the ball up and down from but he can

I think he’s a hugely under appreciated player who gets the blame for collective poor team play

Now things seem to be settling down he and Wirtz are both making the play well and Macca’s coming back to top form

Have we forgotten already that only a wonder save by DoinaRumma stopped him equalising v City?

Goals v Real, Carrier Bag and others

That was a good effort against City. But one flash every now and again isn't enough. Put another way I can't remember the last time he had a good game.

Like Mo he needs to go in the summer.

I’ll agree to disagree he very quietly and effectively make the play and defends and often picks up in No6 position when Grav hasn’t

Like Ekitike up front and Mo I think the team has still to develop or reform patterns of play that come from the better pressing and counter pressing we’re seeing and they’ll all continue to go from strength to strength

All day long for the right cut price and wages or a season long loan with Real paying most of his wages

Dear Kev I made a thread about summer transfers I thought your thread was about our players and their contracts as it is titled

Yep read your opening post, it’s clearly about our players contracts not summer transfers

Seeing some forum talk off selling Jones & Gomez

For the 2025/26 Premier League season, clubs must have a minimum of eight homegrown players in their 25-man senior squad. If a club has fewer than eight, they are required to reduce their total squad size accordingly, leaving a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players allowed.

That’s not changing, I like to try and be informative, it’s important to consider HG status when considering transfers we currently only have seven which means we only have a 24 man senior squad

Key Homegrown Players & Status (2025/26):
Curtis Jones: Academy graduate (List A).
Conor Bradley: Academy graduate (List A).
                    Joe Gomez: Long-serving defender.
Jeremie Frimpong: Registered as homegrown due to his time at Manchester City.
                    Freddie Woodman: Goalkeeper.
                    Rhys Williams: Defender.
Stefan Bajcetic: Listed among homegrown options.

Only 4 of the seven see any playing time which is another reason Slot should play our good youth players like Nyoni more

Sell Gomez & Jones we only have 2 HG who will actually play reducing our squad to 19 senior players

Missing Guehi was a fuck up because we need homegrown players and they don’t come cheap

                      We can bring back Elliott

In yet another astonishing fuck up by Edwards and Hughes I think I’ve found another reason why Ramsay may not be playing, major league fuck up

Ramsay is no longer eligible as an under-21 player for 2025/26 and is not qualified as homegrown. Remarkably, he would have achieved homegrown status if he had joined a club in either England or Wales on loan last season, instead of Kilmarnock in Scotland

So in their efforts to save a bit on the wage bill they fucked up Ramsay getting homegrown status

In Shankly’s day we have the 2 best teams on Merseyside Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

We should try and instill a winning mentality and habit at all levels surely it would have been better to keep Ramsay to bolster our U21’s and gain homegrown status boosting his value

                        Semenyo is also homegrown qualified

FFS Hughes seriously needs to go

Fucked up on Guehi, Semenyo and Ramsay that’s 3 players, 2 who would be regulars who would actually play and qualify

They are making a complete fuck up of transfers and the running of the club

Were there any English or Welsh clubs interested in Ramsay last season?

The lad has been plagued with injuries which have stunted his career and 'age' has caught up with him

I have no idea, but, if you’re sporting director, aware of the rules and qualifying criteria surely if there were none to keep him at LFC playing for the U21’s to make sure he completes HG qualification giving him greater value than loan him to Scotland to save a few quid on wages

What was the thinking on Elliott too? We need him for HG and he’s a player who can be of use a decent squad player

Can’t believe Semenyo we should have been in for him in the summer to replace Diaz (who we shouldn’t have sold) Would have been an upgrade on Gakpo a starter, can play LFWD & RFWD and he’s home grown FFS Hughes

Missed the opportunity to get 2 top quality young players who were homegrown for a combined 100m

That’s a major fuck yo in my view

Yeah you'd think so but in Ramsay's case, with his injuries, it makes it difficult.

I'd imagine the plan was to cash in on him.

But generally our loan deals are nothing to brag about anyway.
