Statistically more goals are scored from outswinging corners than from inswinging. Which makes sense, the balls move away from the keeper and incoming attacking players meet the ball.

I wonder if that will change now so many teams are blocking the keeper using the oppositions own players to help

Shows hom much I know... I prefer to see inswinging corners, as you only need to get a glanced header to it to divert the ball towards goal.

Since our set piece coach left it's noticeable that we've only been taking inswinging corners. Salah from the right and Slob from the left, landing them in or around the keeper. I also was under the impression that inswining corners resulted in more goals.

To Iggy will be a good test of our progress and our ability to try different things to score

We had loads of corners v Wolves midweek and couldn’t score, so hopefully through that experience we’ve worked something out for tonight

Disappointed we hadn’t worked out something different to try v Wolves although delivery was t the best tbf

Great recent improvement I think these could be an area that will reap a huge benefit in Europe but that crowding the goalkeeper will probably result in a free kick a lot so hopefully we have something else planned for tonight

Yes, it's fantastic briggs certainly not at the wheel, probably would be 3rd if he never had the set piece job in the first place, this season they've been key, look at arsenal.

But stupid in that he was a specialist development coach to help too youth when first training with the first team out in the wrong job because we didn’t have anyone else, so we’ve sacked a coach we needed

Yes there's been a lot of stupid decisions in the backroom of late and things are not being run very well, but i've said that for a while and that's just my opinion- think work needs to be done across the board, transfer/scouting/youth etc etc.

They culled a lot of staff when Jurgen left I think and quite a lot of roles haven’t been filled
