      • It was obvious right from the off that Dom was an excellent acquisition, well worth the money.

          • Anyone left wondering why Chiesa doesn't start needs to go give their head a wobble. Nowhere near good enough. He's useful from the bench for the last 10 minutes to see out games.

Macca was great too, made the play, won it several times, he does that quietly and efficiently every game, I think it goes unappreciated because he nicks it rather than thundering in, ppl don’t seem to appreciate it the same

Still trying to get the picking up, press and counter press back to what it was before the no tempo, over passing, short passing overcommitting Dutch football disaster to be fair

Chiesa at false 9 made the dynamic different which helped Mo and Gakpo a bit even if he didn’t have the best game, he was good in the press though as was Wirtz

Wirtz was quiet second half and not involved in any of the goals but great in the press and linked really well

It is a very good sign that Wirtz could be relatively ineffectual in creating and we win 3-0 well 4-0 actually

The team seemed to benefit from everything not being about Wirtz and Ekitike

Ekitike needs to interact with the other 2 forwards more

8 days until Forest. Just in time for their new manager bounce.

                      • Slot is really weird in his pressers. He seems to be complaining constantly that too many teams don’t make it easy for us by playing like Brighton. Too many long balls and set pieces.

Just shut up, stop bleating about other teams making it difficult for us ffs. Work it out and do better.

Stick to what always worked and worked last season, being direct ourselves, releasing the wide players early with long diagonals cross fields or switches and backing those balls up with supporting runs from midfield Oman’s full back to win any second ball or touch back or forward like Mo’s for Szobo

Relentlessly Trying to thread the ball through the eye of a needle in the centre of a ridiculously crowded final third and box robbed us of our press and counter press, tempo and intensity and dynamism and caused all our problems

Just go back to what works, they can’t be set for a knock down, flick on, cut back from a wide player released early or us winning the second ball as a new point of attack whereas they are always set if we don’t try and release the wide forwards early and work it slowly from side to side in 3 passes instead of one and don’t use the diagonals, switches or cross fields

As Wirtz has been so good in the press and counter press Slot should see what come of him backing up the ball played up to Ekitike Gakpo or Mo and having 3 runners to pick out with the opposition not set

Not rocket science our season and automation was wrecked by our constantly trying to play through a crowded centre

                          • Lovely to see Kerkez have a great performance, Szoboszlai thunder one in, Alisson look more like the World's best, Rio show quality (cursed flag!) and see lads like Mac Allister and Salah step our of their own shadows into the light of performances of old.

Get Gomez on ice and Green Tea so he can be a rotation option for centre-back and right-back for the rest of the season please (another injury inevitable ) and continue to believe in ourselves.

Another clean sheet - "u wot bruv?"
