I expect it’s going to be like the away games v Forest and Sunderland
They will press us furiously and frenetically so we should look to use the long diagonals and long ball from Alisson and the switches and support them with a run to win any second ball and make sure we have movement for a ball through the lines and a run to quickly support it
Switches and medium diagonals left to right and right to left work really well to as they often have a lot of players swarming an area and a lot of space elsewhere All our players can play these and we don’t use them enough
Makes them back off if you get some joy being really direct and why I think you always need variation, make them back off, play your football
We need to pick up and counter press well and block the lines to keep getting the ball back quickly

We got three of them. Looks like the increased number of European games has put an end to it. Shame as I think giving the players a short break was a good idea.
