Not always appreciated and definitely underrated, Curtis Jones’ stats from Friday.
51/51 passes completed (100%)
27/27 passes into the final third (100%)
4/5 Ground Duels won (80%)
1 shot 1 goal
Very good squad player, excellent at keeping possession when we need to. Also keeps up home grown quota, should be looking to keep him."I am the Normal One."

He is a very good squad player now and he’s homegrown and we’re very short in homegrown numbers so we simply must keep him and Bradley and any other HG of quality we haveOriginally posted by miller0863 View PostNot always appreciated and definitely underrated, Curtis Jones’ stats from Friday.

He's definitely a player we should retain. Makes no sense at all to sell him, he wouldn't want to leave anyway.
We bring in a top class DM and we have what we need in midfield. I don't think Macallister will stay in his slump till next season. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

Well he is a starter at 6 or 8Originally posted by Ravo19 View PostThe money gravenberchs now on he's got to be 1st teamer, not sure what that says about buying a DM. gravenberch and szoboszlai have to start in a 2 or 3 man midfield."If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

If slots still in charge next season then it will be more of 4 2 3 1,gravenberch & szobo as the 6s.cant understand why we havent seen more of the partnership as macalistair is to slow to be a 6.Originally posted by Nineteenx View PostWell he is a starter at 6 or 8Last edited by Ravo19; 8 March 2026, 09:05 PM.

Given how we operate in terms of age profile, I would not be entirely shocked if we sold Mac Allister, acquired a younger player in a more DM mould as a (not like-for-like) replacement and we made Grav more of an 8 than a 6 in the process.Originally posted by Ravo19 View PostThe money gravenberchs now on he's got to be 1st teamer, not sure what that says about buying a DM. gravenberch and szoboszlai have to start in a 2 or 3 man midfield.Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? Disagree, klopp stated that the 4 2 3 1 asks to much of the 6s who have to cover more ground, imo being one of the two 6s is reason behind macs poor season and better suited to a midfield 3.Originally posted by Nineteenx View PostYou don’t need to be quick at No6 is you have a good press and counter press

Would Mac Allister of this season improve any other team in the league? Not for me. He'd make every single one of them worse. That's what we have plodding around. Needs binning.Originally posted by Insidious View PostGiven how we operate in terms of age profile, I would not be entirely shocked if we sold Mac Allister, acquired a younger player in a more DM mould as a (not like-for-like) replacement and we made Grav more of an 8 than a 6 in the process.
