  • Early kick offs

We used to have a thread about this phenomenon Jurgen and now Slot regularly complained about

Apologies if there is one well off the board but there’s no search function now

The latest instalment is that after our game v Galatassary next Wednesday we’re away to Brighton in the 12:30 kick off on the Saturday

Thry really should have given this fixture to one of the sides playing on the Tuesday

Last 12:30 kick off, i think it was Sunderland travelling to either Brighton or Bournemouth which we know is on the south coast. what time does that mean Sunderland fans have to start their travel? 4/5 in the morning? i dunno its utterly bizarre. TNT has no consideration for anyone

Agreed nor has the Premier League at least it’s a home game for us prior to it, but we always seem to get these kick offs with a days less rest and a travel.

Agree about the fans too, early start from Liverpool to get down to Brighton and in the ground

We haven't had as many as seasons past. Last season and the ones before were absolutely ridiculous.

That fixture 29 highlights there is poor planning. Who's allowing that? That's whats annoying, another of the big 6 will be playing Tuesday so like you say why aren't they allocated that?
I don't buy this television aspect. There's barely any 3,pm kick offs now especially after European rounds, they can choose multiple options over the weekend for televising games.
The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

We haven’t had as many as we’re not playing the exciting brand of football that made us the most watched team and brought in so many lucrative sponsors and partners

          Something FSG need to consider

Played Tuesday away then they give us Sunday Wednesday Saturday 12:30

Should have given one of the teams playing Tuesday or not playing midweek 12:30

Although seems like we’re getting less of the live league games already to me as we’re not as box office to watch right now

              There's 2 games today at 3 o'clock, 2 games 5.30 and 1 game at 8.30.
              Games gone .

Anyone remember the fixture on easter sunday (i think it was) away to Norwich, was an 11:30 kick off. was the season we were going for the league under Rodgers. 11:30 what a crazy kick off time, if i recall Everton had a later home game kick off. They could have easily switched the games around, and had us playing in the later kick off for TV.

What happened to the rule of CL teams playing on Wednesday don't get the early kickoff on Saturday?

I think that only applies when a team is away in Europe, we were at home this evening. But still unfair but that's how these tv companies work. Could have chosen another 2 teams to play at that time.

It’s after Champions League away games you don’t get the early kick off.

Ah FFS, and they couldn't have given us a game closer to home. Hate these early kick offs

If you have a Wednesday game honey or away you shouldn’t have the Saturday early ko for me
