These are the facts and why the Kop and stadium stood to applaud him… Rio was miles better in his first Prem start on that wing than Cody has been all season. Had the others turned up his tormenting of the Spurs defensive right side would have led to goals.

Both Konate and Gomez shouldn't be anywhere near being a starting CB for us, whilst VVD needs a kick up the backside, that is of course if he is still up to the task and not on the wane as is the case with Salah.
If we're going to keep having issues with players because of issues such as fasting or playing in International tournaments whilst the league season is still ongoing, maybe we should either not buy such players to begin with, or we assemble a large, good to top quality squad who can provide adequate cover when these players are missing. I certainly can't see the latter happening under the stewardship of FSG and Edwards.Comment
