"I feel flat," said Dominik Szoboszlai - who scored the Reds' 18th-minute opener - on Sky Sports.
"We have to wake up because if we carry on like this, we should be happy with the Conference League. I don't know why this is happening, I honestly don't know.
"In the last minute, again, I don't know how many times this season already."
Eight times, that's how many.
Liverpool have now conceded eight Premier League goals in the 90th minute or later this season - their most in a single campaign, surpassing seven in 2010-11. Every single one has cost them points.
Why is this happening and how much could it cost them at the end of the season?
Why is this happening? Slot is why this is happening. Sack him immediately FFS!!!

Anyone know how many points it is we have dropped due to these late goals?Originally posted by RedMagic View PostLiverpool have now conceded eight Premier League goals in the 90th minute or later this season - their most in a single campaign, surpassing seven in 2010-11. Some will have turned draws to losses, others will have turned wins to draws.

Carragher made a good point during the match yesterday after Spurs scored. This team is just too fucking easy to play against, there's a lack of fight and desire and it's been evident all season. The worrying part of what he said is he's not sure another manager comes in and changes that. If that's true we could be fucked, imagine if Szobo decided to go? He's one of very few bright spots this season and our hardest working player. Remove him from that side and we'd be rooted in the bottom half of the table.
Very often outworked by the opposition you'll always drop points.
He highlighted the profile of player brought in over summer. Not sure who hes talking about specifically but it's as plain as day the workrate of our team has dropped significantly since last season, you always felt we'd get something last year whereas this season you just don't. You always feel we will concede and we usually do.
Top of the most for goals conceded in 90 mins plus and also 75-90 mins. A truly disgusting stat that shows there's a fucking major malaise in there.
There's only one person to blame for this and it's the manager. He picks the team of players he's assembled,he sets them up,he motivates them. We are failing on all three counts and have done since day one pretty much.
Like Steveo has said on the Wirtz thread, what's the one factor linking things?

I would caveat it a little - I think the one link is the entire new setup:
Edwards - Hughes - Slot (any head coach)
Perhaps Carra is intimating this too while still ingratiating himself to the club, Remember Carra is effectively a journalist - with credentials built solely on his legacy with this club… In short - his career depends on the best possible access to LFC.
Perhaps he is trying to say what I have been hinting at all season. and that is - that we don’t have a manager. We have a CEO of football - a sporting director and a head coach….
…That the holy trinity Shankly spoke of and which was so evident under Jurgen - has been ripped up to suit the business plan. And that regardless of whoever becomes the Head Coach - we will struggle to see that affinity again.
Beyond that I don’t trust Carra in the slightest. Carra looks out for Carra.

Yesterday was a mess, the players from the off had no desire which was down to the teamsheet,a chance to go 4th because slot rested players for CL.
Szobo our best midfielder at RB when we had frimpong/gomez.
Sticking to the same midfield 2 that has struggled all season, why not try gravenberch and szobo.ekitikie on bench.
How is slot still manager this morning,i never want to see liverpool beat but if getting knocked out of CL sees slot sacked ...
Top 4 no chance we will drop out of top 6,players have had enough under slot, back to hodgson days.Last edited by Ravo19; 16 March 2026, 09:33 AM.

Slot broke down and trashed how we played and their fitness levels with his genius idea lower intensity training and style of play would mean fewer injuriesOriginally posted by teesred View PostCarragher made a good point during the match yesterday after Spurs scored. We all know.
They’re all out of condition and need a proper pre-season
As long as we get a 433 manager in who will revert to how these players play best and invest in two top class wide forwards we’ll be absolutely fine"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

It's not the answer to everything obviously but maybe the whole thing with salah getting 400k a week and basically strolling around messing up most attacks all season, then throwing a strop when he was dropped. Disappears for AFCON for a month. Comes back and it's ramadan. Couldn't make it up really. Totally makes the club and manager particularly look like a weak plonker. I don't blame slot for that. Difficult one to manage. Salah looks like he thought he's bigger than the club. Can imagine others players like szobo busting a gut only to see salah blow another chance. Got to affect morale.Originally posted by teesred View PostCarragher made a good point during the match yesterday after Spurs scored. In addition, van dijk who has been mostly great, has looked a bit laissez-faire as well. These are two of our most senior respected players. So has to send a signal to the others. From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx

Manager needs to man up but has shown no history of that for any length of time. Salah stays on the bench, no need to give him any mins out of respect or anything else. Majority of the time he loses the ball, scuffs it ir skies it or cant find a better placed team-mate Gakpo who actually did alright yday till shouldn't start ahead of etikite who looked as if he could not give a f**k when he came on. Can only assume it's because he didn't start. Messed up a simple ball at the end which might have seen us steal the win.Originally posted by Red October View PostIn addition, van dijk who has been mostly great, has looked a bit laissez-faire as well. Play gomez at RB wheres he's always been more comfortable, and go with rio hugo and frimpong up top - pace everywhere. Galatasaray was an easy CL ko draw, lets not kid ourselves. There will be nothing easy after this if we go through though

Slot obviously wanted to prioritise ucl. Its backfired. Should have started with ekitike. We looked good with frimpong and rio. Was the first time all season really that we've looked a threat going forward. With ekitike playing we might have got a few early goals to put the game to bed. Then rest players. As you say just play konate and have gomez at rb.From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx

I counted 12points due to the late goals.Originally posted by Insidious View PostAnyone know how many points it is we have dropped due to these late goals?

It'd be interesting to know.
6 draws turned to losses. 6 dropped points.
3 wins turned to draws. 6 dropped points.
We would be level with city.
There must be a link to our fitness / training that we are topping so many points late in games. If the players condition isn't good enough for 100mins their body and minds get tired and they lose a few yards and speed of thought.
Robbos attempt at a header yesterday for the goal was embarrassing, virgil failed to react, gomez decisions to leave Richarlison on his own and did nothing in the end. It was a goal a Sunday league team would be embarrassed to concede.

We’ve looked better with Gakpo at false 9, Ekitike’s been poor for a few games I’d play Gakpo false 9 Ekitike LFWD"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”
