As I've mentioned on numerous occasions, for Klopp to even be tempted to come back, both Hughes and Edwards would need to be dispensed with, and Klopp would need to be guaranteed sizeable funds to spend on the players he wants every season. I don't think FSG would give him that guarantee, especially if Edwards remains at the club.

Don’t keep on fooling yourselves. The reason why he left in the first place.Originally posted by RedMagic View PostAs I've mentioned on numerous occasions, for Klopp to even be tempted to come back, both Hughes and Edwards would need to be dispensed with, and Klopp would need to be guaranteed sizeable funds to spend on the players he wants every season. We’ve got great players who have been mismanaged they performed to consistent high levels prior to Slot lowering intensity of training and fucking with the formation and style of playOriginally posted by RedMagic View PostI don't think we've got that many good players, never mind consistently good players. When I say good, I'm talking about players that do their main job to a decent level, put in a shift whenever they play, and can be relied upon to at least give you a 7/10 performance in most of the games they play.
If we binned off all the players who really aren't good enough for us, those who are on the decline, and those who are seriously underperforming, I don't think we'd be left with more than a handful of players at best.
Having that extra mid between last season’s best 3 and the front three inhibits them a lot and stifles the cut and thrust and directness of our play"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

Yeah Hughes is in his way and Edwards will be too because he apparently honed for the multi club project which is no longer happeningOriginally posted by RedMagic View PostAs I've mentioned on numerous occasions, for Klopp to even be tempted to come back, both Hughes and Edwards would need to be dispensed with, and Klopp would need to be guaranteed sizeable funds to spend on the players he wants every season. I honestly at this point would be up for Gerrard taking the reigns for the remainder to see if he could change it, there's nothing to lose right now as under him we look doomed to miss out on the top five and crash out of both cups.
Bring in a new fitness coach to start preparing for next season.
This season has been one constant disappointment due to our set up and lack of fight. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

Nope. I can't imagine anyone was. Entirely predictable like pretty much every league game this season.Originally posted by ianlfc View PostWas anyone really surprised with that performance?
I genuinely wonder now how many fans are saying stick with him. There can't be many at all.The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

The squad is too small. The style of play is not much different to that under Klopp. The difference being we have no room for rotation. Wednesday champs league followed by early sat fixture. Brighton did not have this issue.
Gakpo, Macca, Jones....God help us.
I hear people rave about Wirtz and Rio the wonder kid. I just don't see it.
If Slott happy with small squad then he must go. If it's not down to him give him another season. How we have one of the leagues highest wage bills is a scandal

No, and that in itself is very telling. It's one thing thinking there's a decent chance you'll lose against one of the big boys, it's something else entirely resigning yourself to the distinct possibility that you could well lose no matter what the quality of the opposition is, or how bad they happened to have been playing up to that point.Originally posted by ianlfc View PostWas anyone really surprised with that performance?

Spot on Eggy on both countsOriginally posted by eggy81 View PostThat’s and selling nearly all of our depth cog in the wheel type players too. One thing that struck me was milly schooling our midfield in there while he was on. Especially wirtz. No fancy stuff at all. Just simple sensible and clever play e executed well. That midfield is shite. No character or leadership in it."If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

It's curious that Top Top Red™ didn't bother showing up to this match thread to berate the rest of us whinging losers who can't get behind the club and the manager.
His absence here is greatly felt......
.....in some FSG boardroom somewhere.'I got told there's an English phrase, 'You don't win trophies with kids'. I didn't know that' ... - Jurgen Klopp
