Its because of Slot. in training for this game, hes taught them to run and block positions against PSG, they are too good for that.. best way to control a game and its been like this since the 1870s when football began. Pass the ball to each other.

Slots not learned its the exact same thing as we did against City at weekend. running and getting nowhere

Next time Wirzt does that little pass to a player and it slows and confuses our player and the ball is intercepted.

Can ye all hear slot roaring to "GO GO GO" on the TV? He is roaring for them to press and they stand...the one time they all reacted ended up with the doue chance from the ball over the top.

Pleasantly surprised it's "only" 1-0.

Shame about the Gomez yellow as he won the ball, the Macca one was fair enough.

Mama has made a couple of good saves - the one that curls off Macca's back was tricky enough and the Neuer-esque one (knee to heel save, low) was good too.

Overall, it must be said, outclassed. Damn good thing we didn't concede right before half-time as a repeat of the Man City match would have badly stung.

Hopefully we can dig in. If we took a 1-0 loss or 2-1 loss (etc) back to Anfield we would be alive in the tie which at this stage is all I want really.

PSG have had some inconsistencies this season and you can see that in the finishing tonight - they could easily be 3-0 or 4-0 up if they were more clinical, but it hasn't panned out that way.

Hopefully we can hold on until the 60th-65th minute without concession and then have a push. Main thing is not to concede early in the second half.

Again i will mention Wirzt. hes basically the spare man. Hes not on the left, HES GOT TO DO MORE, run and break the lines or something.. we have 4 midfielders. one of them has to do something extra.
