A nightmare situation for next season is Enrique ends up with the Mancs, Xabi ends up in City to replace Pep, while Chelsea grab Iraola while we sit on our fat thumbs again and decide to give Slot another transfer window and another chance.Originally posted by miller0863 View PostIf Enrique rocks up in Manchester we are all screwed'I got told there's an English phrase, 'You don't win trophies with kids'. He is - but when you are 2-0 down on aggregate and running out of time you do tend to start pushing up - I think that was more a game context thing than a lack of discipline thing tonight.Originally posted by jozza800 View PostAgain though, he's supposed to be the one sitting...Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? Yeah I'd love a Mascherano-type and despite the obvious flaws I would have trusted Endo more when he was available.Originally posted by jozza800 View PostHe's been wretched all season. But to be fair to him, nobody is going to be able to cover the ground that's required of the way Slot sets us up.
You watch City, they love to push players forward but always have that anchor. A Rodri, a Fernandiho etc.
People saying we can't play Wirtz in midfield. City used to play with De Bruyne, Silva (s) and Foden, all slight and tricky players but they always have an anchor.
Slot doesn't want to use one this season. Week after week
It should be really obvious, yet he either does not see it or blindly continue to play the same way. That's just bad management.
There's also much too big a gap more often than not between our half-baked press and the players sitting deeper.

If that's the overall plan irrespective of who is in charge next season, unless Klopp is coming back we can immediately write off seriously competing for trophies next season, and we could yet again struggle to qualify for the following season's CL.Originally posted by Lenouis View PostI’m sure I just heard Slot say that HE will not have any transfer budget other than player sales.

If the rumours are true of Joe Gomez and a hamstring. That probably means hes finished with us. he wont be back before the end of the season and whats the point in keeping someone who plays 7/8 games a season?Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
