To be fair you've got to play to everyone's strengths. We're (or Slot) is just not doing it.

It's a mess, it's been a mess all season and will continue to be a mess next season if we don't change manager.
where in the 11 would you play him?

He should be fired on principal for gifting that shower of shit 6 points this season. He's an embarrassment, the fucking useless Dutch cunt.

        • Embarrassing first half display.
Decent start to the second half but fell away again.
          Poor performance overall.
We lacked penetration. Too slow building up.
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

I'd stop fucking about and play him as a 10 with 2 holding midfielders behind him. It's not rocket science.

Mac wants to be the playmaker but he's been a waste of a shirt this season behind him and Grav is being asked to bomb forward.

Slot hasn't been able to set the midfield up properly all season. The only time it's looked semi capable is when it was Jones and Szoboslai sitting.

And I don't think Wirtz should be a guaranteed starter, I actually think Szoboslai's form has caused an 'issue'. At the start of the season, at least in my head that attacking midfield role was between Wirtz and Szoboslai, which if the fullbacks had stayed fit or the 2 'DMs' actually did their job, I think that's how it might have played out.

Slot has muddied the waters so much that nobody can see their feet. It's affecting every single player.

Even the second half was piss. We were gifted both goals. And then even from getting level we tried to slow things down again.

              • You think we'd get away with 2 midfielders and him in the attacking role? no chance. he doesn't fit our club, and it will prove to be the case.. he won't be here after next season, we'll cut our losses. we should do it this season.. we already have a good enough attacking midfielder in Dom. he can also offer protection.. Wirtz is not good to play either in a 3 or out wide.

                • Time and time again this manager has shown how poor tactically he is, couldn’t hold a creditable point could we?

He could set up a team to control a game if his life depended on it

So much more eloquent than what I could have come up with.

                    • PGMOL have supposedly admitted united's second goal should have been disallowed for hand ball.
                      Anyone else seen this?

As much as I love a dig at the refs and feel that by the letter of the law should be applied correctly as often as humanly possible, I'm (relatively speaking) not that arsed about that goal.

The ball grazes the fingertip in such a way that I would be amazed (if we could put it into a simulator) if the flight of the ball were to make it land any more than about 2-5 centimetres of a difference away from where it did.

In short, I think it's going in anyway. It should have been disallowed if we follow the rules - and we should - but it's a much more marginal one than some of the nonsense we have had historically and won't impact our season.

A far cry from, say, Thierry Henry against Ireland.

                        • What? Are you seriously suggesting Manchester Utd got a dodgy refereeing decision against us at Old Trafford to help them win??

No .. noooo not having it, it would NEVER happen

Doesn't matter Sid. It's not a rule that can be misinterpreted. You can't score a goal with your hand.

It seemed pretty obvious to me just from the initial replay and the ball actually changes it's trajectory albeit only very, very slightly when seeing the same stuff the VAR team did.

We didn't deserve anything from the game as we were dogshit from start to finish but it would have helped had we not been stuck behind the 8 ball after 10 minutes.

                              Absolutely you can.

Rafa would know how to set it up.

Is anyone surprised with this latest refereeing decision given that Howard Webb is the technical director of PGMOL? I'm certainly not surprised.
