  • 18 defeats. 16th game we've conceded two or more goals in a game.
How the fuck is anyone thinking that prick is turning that shit around. Players not blameless either but the weak powder puff mentality is 100% on him.

    • See … I don’t hold with this “players are also to blame” line. It is the manager’s job to manage, coach, galvanise and motivate the players and it’s pretty obvious he is way way out of his depth.

Some very good player in our squad, producing a long sequence of totally inadequate performances.

Slot should have gone after losing 3-0 and 4-1 at home to much lesser teams.

Rafa would know how to set it up.
In Rafa's team who would he. take the place of?? Macherano, Alonso Gerrard?? That midfield was very solid. Gerrard was naturally a number 8, who was outstanding at attacking midfield.. You may say he was a number 10. but to me he also helped out defensively.. Wirzt does not have the physical attributes to play in a 3 in the premier league. So again where in Rafas team would Wirzt play?

I don't think jozza was suggesting that Wirtz would take anyone's place in the 08/09 side.

I think he was moreso suggesting that Rafa would find a way to make Wirtz work stylistically and tactically within the current set-up, if Rafa was currently Liverpool manager.

Wirtz would play ahead of Alonso and Mascherano positionally in that side if he were to feature, behind Torres - but obviously he isn't going to be first pick over one of the greatest footballers the game has ever seen in Gerrard.

Mascherano was a number 6.. Alonso was also ball player. who also played deep.. Rafa was a defensive manager.

Rafa tried the likes of Garica and Smicer. both didn't do enough overall when it came to goal contributions.. Wirzt would get even less than them, if he played in a defensive set up like Rafa did..

            • Last year he had a settled team it picked itself and he added a little tweak here and there to improve things. This year he's had to put his stamp on things after making so many changes and he's found wanting
