I’m just really buoyed by the thought of Slot going and whoever comes in, just cannot do any worse in reshaping the squad than Slot has.

I can totally relate to that feeling miller, big time.

I just want to start next season with something a little bit closer to "Liverpool" football and see some decent performances. The soil looks to be blackened and burnt just now and I'd kill for some green shoots.

The Hoeness links have come via Dave Davis at Anfield Index.

Agree with Miller on his point about being optimistic about Slot going but to be honest Hoeness sounds like a Slot appointment. An unknown who's likely be happy to work under whatever conditions he's set.
Hope his teams have had some athleticism and guile. As much as I'm disappointed Alonso is going to Chelsea I'm not that disappointed we aren't getting him as I'm not wholly convinced he'd be what we require.
I'd actually really like to see Hurzeler get the job. He's got BhA into a great unit with energy, they play cracking football and are tough to beat. He's also not afraid to say what he thinks like when he called out Arsenal for the shithouses they are earlier in the season. Probably why he wouldn't be approached. Lolz etc.
The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

Slot going is great news if true. I'd be more comfortable with Iraola as his replacement instead of this Hoeness fella

              100%
All youd need is for him to not be a yes man with shitty excuses every game.
Oh, also that hes someone who gels with the clubs fans. Dunno about everyone, but some of his comments etc made him hard to like even when we won.

Unfortunately FSG are definitely going to hire a yes man. Klopp wasn't a yes man and that ultimately is why FSG and Edwards eventually ground him down to the point where he'd just had enough.

Slot not being in charge any more would be a good thing, but unfortunately a lot of the other things and individuals causing us problems will still be present.

He seems confidemt..... but i haven't seen any confirmation anywhere

He certainly thinks he knows or at least believes it’s worth the risk for eyeballs… I hope he is right. But the change needs to be far bigger than just Slot. The reason Alonso is off to Chelsea is not on Arne Slot - it’s the model created for the bankers.

Luis Enrique is one of my favourite coaches, the way his teams play, and the man himself (who apparently has in the past watched games while stood on the kop just to sample the atmosphere). But he is already at the top, heavily identified with PSG and Barcelona. So I like the idea more of taking an up and coming young coach, like Hoeness, still well under the radar, and he becomes synonymous with success at our club, a liverpool legendary figure.
I think Alonso has made a mistake going to the Chelsea circus, although if they don't have any European games next season, it might help him to get off to a good start in the prem. Like it helped Carrick this season.

Jurgen had that in abundance..You don't have to be a ranter and raver. But up at em at times..will stop our stupid over passing and get some end product, and get to balls first when defending.we sit off challenges all to often
I think you'd like his football.

Both Hoeneß and Fabregas are managers I'd happily see here, but both are lads I would ideally want to have one more job with prior to their arrival at Anfield.

I can only assume this is because Alonso is now no longer available...

                            Missed the boat again.

Maybe Alonso didn't "share the same ambition"
